Architect Application Guide​

Before applying for an Architect position, please read through the following post:

When applying for the position of architect, obviously it is all based around your ability to design and create things. What makes you stand out as a builder? Building for the server is significantly different than building a town, due to the nature of each. As a server architect, you will need knowledge to be able to terraform terrain or develop large projects, and not just make small structures.

About Architect

Architect is one of the more fun staff positions the server has to offer. You’ll be able to build with a talented team and see users enjoy your creations. You’ll have access to a superflat word known as Arch world. The Architect team uses WorldEdit and Voxel, and it is important to know the basics of each.

The ComArch Program​

ComArchs are given a specific area to build on the server and are free to practice their skills in an open learning environment with the assistance of other ComArchs and Architects. To join the ComArch program, join this Discord: Join the MeepCraft Community Architects Discord Server!

Applications​

Build Portfolio-

A builder’s portfolio is the most important aspect of an Architect application as it is how we judge someone’s building skills. A decent Architect application contains at least 10 images of builds and other things you have created. Variety is key. We look for applicants that are confident in building multiple styles and are capable in areas of terrain, exterior, and interior. When applying we recommend 3 pictures of terrain, 2 different interiors , and 3 photos of exterior. If you need to work on any of these areas, please consider joining ComArch.

For the rest of the application, we want a good idea of who you are as a player and builder, as concisely as possible. A couple of questions you may consider are..

What makes you stand out from other players and builders?

Why are you passionate about building?

How long have you been building?

What style are you most comfortable with?


Once your application is posted, please give us a minimum of 7 to 10 days to look at the application and consider feedback from the community and staff members.
