I know this isn't a priority, but /welcome could generate a random welcome message, encouraging more people to welcome new players. Additionally, double post blocks a lot of welcomes rn.

    +1

    Great idea!
I think that could be really cool. Just having a couple generic welcome messages with it would be nice:
    • "Welcome!"
    • "Welcome to Meepcraft!"
    • "Hey! Welcome to Meep!"
    • "Hi there! Welcome!"
    • "Hello! Welcome to the server!"

Or just give ‘em the welcome ad (NO not the rainbow) and lock the rest, though it might be a concern for spam.

I doubt this would encourage more people to say welcome, to be honest. If people wanted to welcome someone then they would do it already. The amount of people saying welcome, or lack thereof, is a problem with people not typing /g welcome, rather than a problem with ease of access, since your suggestion only removes 1 character.

As for double posts, I never get stopped with "welcomee" or "welcome!!", just gotta switch it up a bit.

I like saying welcome by typing it, with /welcome being a thing it'd seem 'bot' like and people wouldn't feel as happy about it, as I've seen a lot of new players happy as we have such different welcome messages, like 'Welcome!' 'Welcome to Meep' 'Welcome to Meep (name)' and then people saing how they have a nice name, it's really nice for them to see it, I don't think this is needed as I like how everyone welcomes differently as of now

Part of meep I never got to see for myself was a large mass of players saying "Welcome to meep!" "Welcome @FamousZAmos" and all that stuff, even though I only started playing actively in 2017. I've had a good time since but I feel like new players are more likely to stay if they feel valued

/g welcome /welcome it's only an extra key you are typing and I feel this is unneeded, if double posts comes up I usually type a random letter or two like Welcome to Meep!sds as seen numerous times.

Thank you very much for making this suggestion, but at this time we do not believe that the benefit that this would bring to the community outweighs the level of effort.
