The server doesn't have enough players to have any decent economy in skyblock. I have been playing skyblock since it reset in January and I've only had one player to player interaction over skybucks, regardless of any method we could make of starting an economy, the player count just doesn't support it.

I would support an OP-skyblock as in a new world separate from the current skyblock, but not to replace the current skyblock. The hardcore skyblock we have is actually really fun.

If we did want to add another skyblock world, I would want completely op, meaning ores would spawn along with stone instead of cobble from a generator, spawners galore, and a skyblock shop that promotes a higher skybucks amount (so easier to make money).

I used to play on a different major skyblock server, I honestly wouldn't mind just copying their skyblock and going with it as an OP skyblock

Skyblock needs a revamp. Skyblock has the potential to pull tens, possibly hundreds of players into the server. There are Skyblock server with thousands of people. Right now, we're running a near-generic version of Skyblock, and we haven't put Meepcraft's personal spin onto it. I'm suggesting some unique ideas that could help the server uplift their player base.

My main suggestion for this is to uplift the economy. The stuff in Skyblock right now is basic and can only really be gained from exploiting the island. What we need to do is implement custom items to encourage trade and create a more complex economy. I'm also aware of the fact that we don't want Skyblock to be our main feature. So a few of these simpler suggestions would do perfectly to entice players without overwhelming the towny community.

Spawners and XP. This, in itself, is a HUGE way to boost the economy in Skyblock. Spawners are the main income source for Skyblockers and without spawners, it's basically single-player survival with basic tools and items. However, this may cause new players from Towny to lean over towards Skyblock because of the spawner use. This could be resolved by reintroducing spawners into Towny, but after reading this thread, I'm a bit unstable about that.

Continuing, XP would also be produced from these mob grinders. This would eventually lead to enchanted items and high-level loot, which enhances the economy as stated above. High-level loot would also banish the old "single-player survival" feeling in Skyblock, making it more than an island. Commands such as /bottle could be transferred to Skyblock and this would create a market for XP in Skyblock. With the high loot, ores would need to be created somehow to compensate for this, and the solution is in my next point.

Island Level. Right now, this is nothing more than a show-off. There's no advantage from having a high island level except showing people that your island is really good. There needs to be a reward for having a high island level. I'm suggesting that ores have a percentage of being spawned in a cobblestone generator as island levels increase. For example, a level 50 island could have a 10% chance of coal ore spawning in the generator, a level 100 island could have a 20% chance of coal and 5% chance of redstone, a level 200 island could have a 30% chance of coal, 15% chance of redstone and 2% chance of lapis. Or something along those lines. This would increase the economy in Skyblock and give players a goal to work towards.

My final suggestion is to create a conversion system from Skybucks to Meebles. If a newly-found expert Skyblock player came to Meepcraft, played Skyblock for a few weeks and got bored, their Skybucks could be transformed into Meebles to play in towny and other worlds in the server. This also should be done for minigames such as Infected, as Infected is a fun way to get coins, and these coins should be transformed into Meebles for the player's use in other worlds. I definitely do not encourage getting rid of Skybucks, as this will force the value of the items on Skyblock to equal the value of the items in Towny, and this is unbalanced.

What do you think? Is it too much? Again, I’m not expecting all of these to be accepted, but I’m putting the ideas for a Skyblock revamp out there and I’ll see what the community thinks.
