What happen? ? ?

I got on meep last night, to see the chat being filled with swear words. I logged off and thought nothing of it as I assumed they would get banned by the staff people, so I went to sleep. Today I woke up and got on the forums, I found in many peoples ban appeals (yes I read ban appeals for fun...) that they had been banned, but were then unbanned. they were also talking about a "strike" and a "purge" and how they would flame fuzzlr when he got on. I finally got on this morning and everything seemed to be going normally, when I ask about it in chat I couldn't get a answer from anyone, So I came on here to ask, wtf happened last night, what is "purge" and who is striking?

 

Idk I've been hacked for 4 weeks now and have absolutely 0 clues as to what has happened on meepcraft for the past weeks

 

I haven't been on Meep in a while. What is going on nowadays? A Purge? What?

 

Failures of a staff team that should be demoted. If you sign up to do a job, do it, or quit.

I lost a tremendous amount of respect for those involved.

Do your damn job, or get off the pot so someone else can.

 

I've observed many situations where high-ranked players get away with caps, swearing, and other minor chat infractions. Also, it seems like the helpers love to use caps and sometimes spam (I'm gonna start screenshotting). If a citizen or very low rank were to do something like this, they would be kicked and maybe tempbanned. I'm also surprised about how long it takes for most staff members to react to chat situations, it sort of disappointing. I'd love to become a staff member to change this, but I can't do teamspeak. I was accepted in the past, but couldn't do it because of teamspeak. I feel like if you couldn't do teamspeak you should have a chance of becoming a permanent helper.

Incorrect. The job requires teamspeak for a few very valid reasons. That being said, they should not tailor the job to the people, but the people must be suitable for the job.

These groups are not comparable, the reason is staff dedicate hours upon hours trying to make sure those that are ranked and citizens have the best playing experience. Which is why the actions of last night are so absurd, because not only did they not do their job, they provided the exact opposite experience for their players, even causing a few to log off, and have their families do the same.

In my opinion, those staff who participated in this ignorant stunt should be demoted as they made it clear they do not want to do the jobs they volunteered to do.

 

Wow so the one time I decide not to go on meep and there is a massive fight/purge thing.

 

Wouldn't that also be abuse of power? They told others that they could get away with anything and staff wouldn't ban them. If so they should receive bans as well.

 

Huh, I was on last night but didn't really notice this. I saw some people yelling at Reggles about Anvil Drop being broken again (or was that the night before?).

But where there are people, there will be drama.

 

I was on for that. I just turned my chat off so i don't really know what happened.
