/tr fee

I don't know if this has already been suggested but this is a simple suggestion.

I'm tired of seeing the constant /tr spam even with /gtoggle (I know there is going to be a /trtoggle or something soon)

Just like in /g or /shout you get a 100 meeble fee for spamming to much, every time you use /tr you are charged 30-50 meebles. It's every time you use /tr, and since you have to use /tr to promote your /pwarp or business I think it's a good way to get meebles out of the eco.

Also I'm tired of the constant /tr spam

Just because you don't like Jeff's ads doesn't mean we should ruin it for everybody. To people like cits with small businesses that fee can add up fast and be a lot.

I never specifically targeted Jeff? This isn't just for spam reasons this is for eco reasons. You literally can't advertise a product in the real world without having to pay some sort of fee. It's for the server, the fact that it might help reduce the spam is just a bonus.

Your Argument with cits seems valid, perhaps a solution for citizens only charge the 10 meeble fee, either way citizens if they spam to much in /g or shout still have to pay the 100 meebles anyways. Also players can abuse this but using citizen alt accounts to promote /pwarps.

I'm all for adding the spam removal that's currently in global, the 3 chats per 10 seconds or you have to pay 100 meebles. So if you space it out and are obeying the rules you don't get taxed and that is completely fair.

You also cant turn off commercials in real life. But in meepcraft you can with /ttoggle.

You said you cant advertise in real life without paying. When you pay for a commercial on tv you have to watch it if you are watching it live. In meepcaft /tr can be toggles to everyone is not forced to see it. You shouldn't have to pay if no one has to see it.

 

Statement is hypocritical. ''You shouldn't have to pay if no one has to see it.'' Business's pay networks to advertise their product from specific times during the day. There's no guarantee that a certain audience number will view it.

 

On one hand, I don't like the fees at all. When people told me I needed to be more active in chat, the Meeble tax discouraged me from speaking. I never spammed anything, I was simply trying to be more engaged. Pardon my irrelevance to the thread.
On the other hand, 100 Meebles never stopped anyone. Why not make the fee in this suggestion 100 as well?
Thirdly, a new fee would also mean some money being drained from the economy. I like this.
I'm not sure if I like this idea or not, because I would really like the economy to be balanced, but at the same time this whole "you're talking in chat too much; - meebs" thing seems rude in my eyes.
EDIT: I would rather have a fee in trade chat than global because people shouldn't be speaking there nonstop anyway. +1
