Introduction: Hello, my name is shain. I am Minnesota born and raised but I moved to Chicago to attend college. I am studying to get my BA in Theatre with two minors in Musical Theatre and Women And Gender Studies. I'm going into my junior year which is terrifying. I am studying to be an actor/singer and a sound designer with a small amount of stage management on the side. Next semester I will be sound designing my first show called Eurydice by Sarah Ruhl. I also play a variety of instruments but primarily focus on percussion (and drum set), trombone, guitar, piano, and my voice (I spend the most time on my voice).

As a person I'd say I'm a very hard worker, a "go-getter", and I never settle for anything but 100%. I am also kind of a jokester and don't like to take life too seriously because that's no fun. Balancing them two parts of me have always been something I've explored throughout my entire life. But I always work hard and have fun doing it.

Why should you be Helper? Passion: I have been on this server for more than 2 years and I think Meepcraft will always have a place in my heart. I want nothing more than to see it succeed. The people here have certainly been a huge part of my life and I have made lifetime friends thanks to just being here. I want to do my part again in a much more positive attitude than I have in the past.

Work Ethic: As previously stated I don't like to provide inadequate work. I grew up poor and my mother always said I had to work twice as hard to just to be at the same level as everyone else and three times as hard to go beyond them. I always take that to heart, and I always go beyond. I have become the most reliable and hard working person at both of my jobs.

Maturity: I am always growing and maturing. I'm 20, so there's still a lot for me to learn (although most people on here would call me old) but I certainly don't feel like 'an adult'. At 14, I had to get a job to make ends meet for my family and I had to grow up pretty fast because of that. While some of my peers have never had a job, I have been working for the past 6 years. Just in the past two years, however, I have definitely grown in ways I never thought possible. And even from my last "reign" in staff, I have grown more patient, understanding, loving, and thoughtful.

Notoriety: Being around for awhile and remaining active is certainly important. While I have been in and out, I think I've always been a part of the server. Many past and current staff and players are aware of how well I perform as staff. I plan to continue to do so.

Experience: I have been helper 2x, mod 2x, and supermod 1x. As a mod my first time, I worked harder than everyone else and even earned my very own "staff of the month" from Cooley for the level of modreqs I would do. I am familiar with the way staff works and likes to function and even helped develop a lot of these when I was supermod. As a supermod I worked closely with DianaB72 when she was admin to assist her when she was working basically alone. For awhile, anything published, written, or posted from Meepcraft was written by me. As you may have noticed I have quite a strong ability to write and was the major contributor to the current set of rules. I hope to aid the current staff with my past experiences and my current abilities.

What are your weaknesses? After my experience working on staff and my growth and development my biggest weaknesses have started to become minimal. However I am not and will never be perfect. Here are the biggest:

1. I don't like to ask for help. For some reason I have trouble showing any sort of vulnerability and put up this shell. I like to do everything myself and I will keep doing it until I figure it out. I am starting to learn how to depend on people but I have a very hard shell preventing me from doing so.

2. I'm a little too honest. I don't mean for this to be one of the positive weaknesses. I'm very blunt and will tell someone when I don't like what they're doing or what I think about them. As I also grow older, I have developed more of a filter. I hope to continue to learn to use it.

Both of these things make it difficult for me to work in a team, but I work in theater. Every bit and piece of theatre is teamwork for a common goal. Without one person, the show is ruined. Teamwork on staff just as important, and I hope to learn from it while I contribute to it.

Please give any other information you might think is useful for us to know: Two things to note:

1. I am going to Rome with my choir on tour from June 19th-30th. I most likely will not be spending any time on Minecraft because well, I'll be in Rome. If you decide to accept this, I think it would be in our best interests to have my interview after I return.

2. I understand staff is pretty well off at the moment and there are a few people in interview. So if you don't need me, I totally understand.

I left staff previously unhappy with the way things were running. After I returned to play, I noticed so much activity and updates to the server. I am so happy to see things up and running again with the players as the main focus. I really hope to contribute to that again.

I struggled with how long I should wait however I was never gone that long. A "hiatus" was more like "I was working 40hrs a week, had an internship, and was taking finals" but I kept up with what was happening.
