Factions

Ok, so I know Meepcraft has a uniqueness for its exceptional towny, but I think that there are loads more players out there who like towny, but love factions. This would bring hundreds of new players to the server, which in turn it would skyrocket donations. Some might think it will bring bloodthirsty disrespectful players but, I think not. Factions is not so different from towny in a sense that it still has that same sort of towns or in this case factions appeal to the server. Plus, meepcraft would be one of the very few servers supporting both factions and towny! As I said before donations would skyrocket and players would be making new friends. 1+ I would like to see this feature return.

On a side note it seems like people are going to keep suggesting this so it may be best to just implement it and see how it goes so people will stop re suggesting this one feature.

 

We used to have factions a while, while ago not many people played.

+1. If there are toxic members, they will be banned if they break rules. If they are not banned, they are not doing anything bad.

 

+1 Sure, but what if Factions were implemented in Towny worlds as well o3o. Like Beta and Alpha full of nice civilized towns and sneaky factions trying to raid them. Meep would probably be one of the first to have both Towny and Factions in the same worlds :3 That way, players can choose if they want to be a civilized citizen or a sneaky thief. Idk, I'm just thinking out loud here and it's late for me so I might be drunk.

People complain there is nothing to do, also I honestly don't see why we don't add it. It won't hurt to add this.

-1, how would we compete with the 5000 other factions server? As well how we make some sort of profit from it so we aren't draining money. Would we add seperate donor packages to this? Otherwise we'd strictly rely on new players for any income flow, which brings us back to the question..

There isn't nearly as many towny servers.

 

You're missing my point, MeepCraft is still having to compete with those 1319 other servers that have pretty much the same things towny-wise as we do. You can make a factions server different and interesting, you just have to think outside the box and come up with some new and creative ideas.

 

I get your point, I'm inherently arguing Factions is not worth the investment, I doubt we'll get what we put in, ever. Plus we'll have to deal with the players factions bring.

However, there are _far more_ factions servers than towny. We have an existing product that is doing comparatively well in our current market.

It seems a bit like opening yet another McDonalds on the same street with 10 other fast food places.

 

When will people learn that Facism can be good? When will people stop being Republicans? When we people stop being biased? When will that sliver of greedy rich people learn to share their endless wealth with the poor like those who do? When will people realize that Facism can work? When will people realize a 2 party system is awful?...

when will people realize history and geography are more importasnt than foreign laungauge.

I used to demand factions from Fuzzlr, a lot. I remember Fuzzlr telling me he was going to add factions, he asked me for advice and stuff. I wrote him a few paragraphs on how to make it good. He even let his bro build a small spawn. After all this he just started ignoring me and stopped with everything. He just did that to troll me.


But MeepFactions was the best factions server that ever existed. I found meep trough meepfactions. If Fuzzlr was capable of making such a great server back then, on his own, he sure is able to make one now, with all the new tech and staff.



Also, to stay at least a bit original, don't make it OP factions. Factions isn't about pvping, it's about raiding bases and getting the hard earned loot. If items are accesible easily there is no fun and no goal in raiding bases. As hardcore/vanilla as possible.

 

No -1 factions brings toxic players to the server.
