Language Filter

We've gotta change this language filter...

People have complained about not being allowed to swear n all, but this filter.. this is over the top.

'Omg' - innapropriate
'Wtf' - innapropriate
'bass' - for some reason that on it's own was innapropriate last time I checked..
'crap' -innapropriate

There are loads more, Ill edit the post as I remember them.

Swear words, fine make the filtered. Abbreviations, No thanks. Part of the reason for abbreviations is so you don't need to swear. Cmon, this is ridiculous.

EDIT: this seems to only apply in spawn

 

I understand that they want to make meepcraft a server.. Thats suitable for all ages. There is a point where it gets to be to much. Yes, there are little kids on this server, but it's the parents job to monitor what servers those kids are going on, and who they are talking to etc. not Meepcraft. We should be able to say 'crap, omg, wtf, lag, ' most us are mature enough to be able to use these without being treated like a kid.

 

it doesnt allow you to say 'ball' thinking its a sex ref....


there are ways you can say it without it being a sex ref

 

I don't understand. I can say all of these.

 

In global and local, it won't let you at spawn.
It's like this is considered 'child profanity' and it's bleeped out.
Come on.
