10 Years

Sad, but true. Hopefully Meep can be an exception, but I have doubts.

Just did some quick research. There are a couple servers that are almost 8 years old now. It is definitely plausible that an MC server could reach 10 years.

 

I've run my personal server for 7, lets hope meep beats that

 

Minecraft was released on October 7th, 2011. So the oldest a server could be is around 4 and a half years.

 

Really? I had mc since 2009...

Ahhh that's what I had there. To correct my earlier statement, I started running server in 2011

Can't wait fuzzlr! I think that the server will be much more mini games and less and less economics. If fuzzlr does not sell the server though, meep has a high chance of staying the worlds biggest and best economic minecraft server. I also think that some of the old original players will come back ( I joined like I think mid 2013 does that count?) horneman will come back once the server has reached 11 years and turn it back into economics. Horneman will also become a huge youtuber and will get the rank of media. Enough with horneman lets get back to the server. Many of the players right now will still play but not as much. Many will quit move on with their life's and never remember what meepcraft was. Most will become staff. Meepcraft will become bigger. Meepcraft will have lots of its own merchandise and fuzzlr will run it full time. In a way although many original players will not still be playing, meepcraft will stay exactly how it was. Always just going with the flow. Also on a job application saying that you were staff or like mod on meepcraft will be pretty big.

 

In that time we will all be playing meepcraft with vr headsets

Well, in my opinion I doubt a lot of us will be here, and MeepCraft definitely will have changed in the same ways it have. I also think we could be near the top of at least one server list, so we might have a thousand players back online.

 

I think Meep can survive 10 years. It still has a strong following.

at this rate in 10 years the entire server will be staff, already 75% there

 

Probably won't make it to celebrate the 10 year anniversary considering how things are now. Props to CK for actually being the only staff trying to save what's already dead but man, you should just put that kind of effort into something else. Most of the staff team are just a bunch of dead memes trying to stay relevant (yea bois come at me).

 

In 10 years we'll stop nerfing old threads so I don't have to keep seeing 14-year-old-me's cringe comments.
