Stuttering has nothing to do with social skills. Its just a stutter. He's slightly slower at talking.

I have my issues with 7ace, but Ive not once said that his social skills are poor due to stuttering.

Why not just deny an app rather than delete it? Even if old applications were deleted, there are some that remain that were simply denied, as Spongey even hyperlinked. You all are just acting childish, calling each other stupid remarks on a Minecraft forums for a Minecraft server that was created in 2014. If that is not cringey, you need to take a better look at your life and re-evaluate how you are spending your time. Especially if you who are putting this much effort arguing into deleting a post over denying it, even if it's against the server's "rules". This server has gone down the drain and no one plays like they used to.

My basic point, without losing any more brain cells than I have from most of this thread: just deny it, don't delete it, and let people make silly jokes. I'm sure it requires less brain power to deny it rather than the wasted energy put into arguing over the decision. No one is going to come onto Meep and have the experience we all did when the server was actually popular, so why be so uptight about the rules for a dead server's forums? We're all adults with busy lives (or so I had previously thought), so stop taking everything so seriously and wasting your time.

It takes me less than ten seconds to delete a post. I am perfectly fine with explaining my reasoning on something if anyone disagrees, but obviously this thread is full of trolling, so I’m gonna have fun with it myself.

This entire thread was serious until the past five responses. I and many others are asking you why you feel compelled to keep such stringent rules, and what the purpose of them are.

You just can't call arguments you disagree with trolling. We're not trolling.

Could do something more productive like making a server statement since the serves been in limbo for so long, bring some light to the loyal player base Meep has left.

This is planned however my schedule has not allowed for enough work to be done to get to a point where I consider things finalized enough to post publicly. When things are set and only require development, then announcements will be made regarding the contents of the revamp.

You're saying that plans for the big things you've been working on for a year haven't been finalized?

What about including the community on these plans? At the moment there is no visible staff engagement so it would be good to throw stuff out there - especially if it means feedback can be given and implemented even before its released.

The ideas are, the specifics of mechanics are not. So far I've had members outside of the community and staff team testing things in order to get perspectives of people who have never played on the server or are aware of its community.

For example, in the jobs revamp of last year, we knew we wanted a Hunter job. However the scope and details of it kept changing. At first we were only going to redo what jobs existed and adjust values so you made more money. Then we discovered just how much the plugin let us do with it and scrapped that idea to make something much more engaging. By the time of release, the hunter job had a completely new payout and experience formula to make far more money while making leveling up more rewarding by earning perks along the way such as capturing mobs as eggs to transport and spawner mining. The hunter job also pairs with the Mystic job to use the exp and gets the perk to /bottle your experience and sell it to other players.

It's not that we've scrapped an idea and redone everything from scratch, it's that scale and scope change as ideas are contributed and developed. On the topic of community input, I've unfortunately had to learn the hard way how viable it really is as a method for things. Also in said jobs revamp, people were allowed to discuss it well ahead of time and several of its mechanics, so they spent weeks preparing for it through actions that were economically stupid in the current eco (think buying up clay by the doublechest) where they could then turn a massive profit from the new jobs system later. While community input is more than welcome (and suggestions are accepted into it without necessarily being accepted publicly), it isn't viable to allow the project to be open source.

There won't be an economy to ruin if there aren't players to enjoy it. There's also no reason to bother with trying to be the richest when I've seen the playercounter on the forums go over ten once in the past month.

There needs to be more staff engagement past the development, past all the features youre trying to provide. You want the server to be great again. Thats good, thats great. But whats the pull if stuff keeps getting taken away and redone and theres so much back and forth?

The server used to be all about the community, gameplay second. Now its about gameplay, sort of, first, getting rid of all the bad people who say bad things second, and community third. Give the players a reason to stay, not a reason to drop in, not a reason to come back for a week to look at "oh, this is a cool plugin." Stay. You need people to stay.

Hahaha imagine complaining about this whew that gave me a chuckle

Also, all the people complaining about why Meepcraft is dying don't understand why it was popular in the first place. Fuzzlr dumped a ton of money into advertisements. That's how I initially found the server. That's how it got a massive playerbase. Once he stopped advertising, it was a steady decline. The large active playerbase was enough to maintain the server's popularity for a while, but eventually the rate of players quitting eclipsed the rate of new players coming in. Once the server regularly dropped beneath about 100 players online at a time, it essentially killed the economy aspect of the server because there wasn't a large enough pool of consumers which just furthered the server's decline. The reason it hasn't gotten more players with the minecraft resurgence is because we aren't advertising to the new players. That's it. It isn't because our mods are too mean, or we don't have any fun. To develop a large playerbase you need to advertise.

This is correct, no argument exists that says you aren't right. Advertising is why this server declined. I, personally though, believe that a reason why players quit was because of unnecessarily stupid rules

Advertisement is key! As a ex-server owner I can verify this that the MOMENT you stop advertisements your player base begins a steady decline. But if you keep pumping money into even just a little it will be alright! I would love to see the server so maybe even 50$ a month on advertising as it will help a bit. Anyway peace for the next month until I get bored enough to check in
