capitalism is bad because it turns economic productivity towards the interest of capital rather than the interest of people. It only sustains itself so long as these 2 interests coincidentally align. Because capital's interest is infinite growth and people cannot sustain this growth these interests will inevitably dis-align.

You should see how much is added to their taxes for medicare (health insurace). It's alot more than America does.
Compare those two numbers.
Also you inappropriately skewed your numbers by putting numbers of what it costs out of pocket for someone who does not pay for insurance, not how much it costs with insurance. My mother didn't pay 1% of your $40,808 to give birth cost.

You actually lied with your numbers. Like legit those numbers are so fake its insane.

"The average American household carries $137,063 in debt..." You included debts such as mortages and student loans.

"The average Canadian household owed $16,546.97..." I can only assume your number only included consumer, you left out mortages student loans and much more.
If we compare the National household consumer debt we can see that Canada's consumer debt per household, $8,500, is actually higher than the US's, $5,700

This is the point: pure capitalism is bad, just as pure socialism is bad. There must be a balance between incentivizing profit and benefiting the entire population. If capitalism is used too far, there's a net harm to the community as systems more often trap people into debt cycles while the richest worry only about profit. On the other hand, if socialism is used too far, there is no incentive for anyone to work harder because it only helps others in a hard-to-see way, which would stagnate growth of innovation.

It's finding the mix of protections for all and allowing profit that is important, not maximizing one ideology.

Yes, you can't assume one way or another. That means you have to expect the worst to happen. If the system doesn't protect people from the worst then the worst could happen. There could be a group of benevolent and wealthy, but there could also be just as many wealthy but stingy.

 

This is completely wrong and not how capitalism works. We can assume capital is going to be used to accrue more capital. If "reinvesting" is profitable, then it is what people will do.

 

Since you ignored the question the first time, do you think communism/socialism is a better system?
