Why

 

No keep this. I think the huge problem with money influx was the 50k prizes. One 50k prize was bringing in as much as 50 people voting would. The 1k gives players a good incentive to vote because it covers their town upkeep (if they choose to have 0 taxes) or their town tax they have to pay, as well as giving them some spending money on the V-Shop if they need items that are too lazy to get for themselves.

I agree with this part. Those tools/armor are not balanced and reduced the value of enchanting god tools and armor.

In reality, the odds of someone getting a 2.5k, 5k, 50k, or 100k were close enough in the amount of votes that keeping the 1k is a better solution than getting rid of it.

I propose that vote keys are changed to 25%.
10% disguise note can remain
30% should be nerfed to 1k bonus.
5% chance for 16 iron ingots, or 8 gold ingots, or 4 emeralds, or 1 diamond.
1% chance for enchanted book (lvl 15=>)
0.5% chance for enchanted book (level 30=>) or unenchanted diamond tool set (pick, shovel, axe)

These preceding items are quite nerfed from the current rewards, but still offer a decent incentive to voting at the 25% chance of getting a key. I have no idea what the current chance of getting a key is, but it has to be close to 1% considering that most players haven't got keys.

 

I think that the right thing to do is quite the opposite, actually.
The average player should get just under 1 key per 4 votes, and the crate prizes should be a bit buffed, in terms of a wider variety of "good" items, replacing items such as dis notes with some cooler, rarer prizes like vote swords, obsidian picks, etc.

 

I'd love the chance of a vote key to be either 25%+ or much less than 20%. When the chance is less than but nearly 25% it feels extremely unlucky to not get any vote keys while voting but having the chance lower makes the key not something expected but instead just an unexpected extra reward.

Voting is not supposed to be a main source of income. Voting is supposed to be a bonus amd to help the server.
The more you vote the more you get so I dont get why you would stop voting until voting is 'fixed' bc really the only person that hurts is you

 

Its nerfed too much it’s not worth it i was for 20-40 min last night and didn’t see one person get a key

Exactly, if I can make 4k regardless of me voting while I am on, why would I spend time that I could be making money ingame, voting for something thats not going to benefit me or the server in the time it would take.
