Subsequently with the reduction of large amounts of meebles being earned by voting a lot less towns will be made.

    Voting introduces 4K a day.

It would take you 38 days to get the 150k to start a new town from voting alone.

The rest of the meebles “from voting” are from player to player interactions that introduce absolutely 0 meebles to the economy.

Please think before talking. The vote crate is used through voting, voting is not just 4k a day.

What about the 100k that they can win from a single crate key or the massive amounts of god armour and small meeble prices that get introduced with pretty much every vote? No, the rest of the meebles "from voting" are not through player to player interactions as that money doesn't come from voting. It comes from player to player interactions lol

But isn't your plan to "remake" voting involve removing the keys so that they're rare like before the current system?

That’s not too much of a bad thing. The goal here is to get rid of the hamlets, and raising the town price would probably do it. Besides, money shouldn’t really be made on this level because of voting. Maybe think to raise parkour prizes or other things for players to earn money in a better way?

That's a good point, the inflation from voting will slow down. But, the damage has already been done with voting. Increasing the town price to adjust for the inflation that has already happened could work. At the same time it removes more money from the eco.

Have you seen the topics that are being talked about on the discord, or in server? There isn't a community but a bunch of younger kids spouting off at the mouth with random inane things. Or bickering with eachother, or bickering with eachother then reporting someone.

That being said, you didn't even address my question.

What prevents a player, who would rather not grind that much, just jumping to another server anyway?

Raising towny prices is the last thing we ought to to do, upset the very few players we already have and make it a pain in the backside for new players to obtain, they can go to another server that has cheaper prices to make a town, a nice community and works properly.

Just because damage has already been done does not mean we should do something more idiotic. Control what has happened and it will smoothen out.

If someone has enough money and just wants to run a small town with them and a couple of friends living there (like blah) then a higher price wouldn't stop them from doing that to be honest. Definitely wouldn't have stopped me from doing it. A towny server is also about creativity and the diversity of what people can achieve by themselves or with friends, we shouldn't raise prices with the intention of pushing out the people who want small towns.

If we want to raise towns prices it should be because there is more money in the economy now than what there used to be. I'd be a fan of raising the price to around 400-500k with 75k in the town bank

You may be right in some sense, but I didn’t mean to say to get rid of the people who want small private towns. I meant to say that by raising the towns price we can have less people making towns on the whim filled with inactive people. I’ll explain it backwards. With the fact of it being that the economy is a lot bigger now and people have more money, this has resulted in towns being easier to make for players. This in my opinion has made people make towns only because they can, and has left so many small abandoned hamlets instead of more purposeful towns. I’m not meaning to condemn the people who only want to make private towns with their friends but as the numbers go to show the vast majority of towns are made because it’s so easy now, rather than because it’s something that players need to work for. It’s easy to distinguise these towns from hard working private people towns, (whew, gotta catch a breather) simply because of how many less than 5 player towns there are. This has left the towns world in a more unconnected and divided state than it used to be. The people who want to make their private towns will work hard to get the money they need, but the less trying people won’t bother. Because money is so easy to come these days, it doesn’t take much for an untrying player to achieve that.

That being said, if the town price is increased, more towns will be bigger (because more people want to make their own medium or big towns than private towns), and the rest will be all the private friend towns. Both of these towns share in common their strive to get the money and not the instant ease.

Sorry for my lack of clarification and long paragraph; read however much you feel like. :)

In my opinion, it would be the revampment of the whole server. The server itself is broken and a few aspects of it should be changed, such as the prices which I think should be equal to the current economy. One of the big things that should be fixed is Jobs. It's basically useless. When it was released, they immediately nerfed it and it's like 5% of someone's profit in their daily play in MeepCraft and that should be fixed as Jobs is supposed to be the backbone of a player's money. Voting is also one of those as it's highly profitable, with a minimum amount of 4,000 meebles daily with additional notes, tools, or extra meebles.

To keep it short, the server itself needs to be fixed as a whole. In that way, we could somewhat prevent players from jumping to another server that is similar to MeepCraft's style.

I fully understand what you're trying to imply. Do you mind if you could elaborate on how do you think would prevent players from jumping to another server? Thank you.

thank you! I get you now, it should be a long term goal for someone to work towards rather than a short term "I'll make a town and get bored of it."

voting injects huge sums of low-effort money daily
low-effort money is killing the eco

    logically, nerf voting :0

y'all over here acting like it isn't a problem but it's the source of almost all the server's problems, even the whole Hornemans thing.
