+1 considering the playercount atm a few towns with high resident count > everyone having their own town.

+1 Meep has like 50 really active people (maybe, idk could be more could be less) I am not VERY active but I’m active enough and have been on all times of the day... I play roughly 3-4days a week for 4-8 hours a day.

I think this would make it better for the larger towns & would make the larger towns more appealing. Looking at towns now there are MANY vacant plots & towns are constantly just redoing the town because there is really nothing to do in towns. Making the towns cost more money would make more towns expand & would also give more opportunities to become town staff, which in a big town with MANY active players can be a big and fun job without the stress of.... is my town going to fall? Will I get more residents? This would also encourage players to do more jobs & need more money to keep up with tax etc etc,

I also think it would be cool for Meep to do a “buy back program”.... for the smaller towns Meep could pay like 200k for the town & then erase the town. That way the town mayors make a little profit & would encourage them to join other towns. That way we could bring the town count down.

This could possibly help with towny war too!

Either way, I think this is one of the best suggestions I have seen in a while, would certainly help the server IMO!

The solution is to not decrease towns, but increase players.

What would stop a player who wanted to create a town, instead of that endless grind, just go to another towny server to make a town?

So you are saying we should get other servers to make their town price higher too?

What if we make the cost 1/500 of the eco?

That way, cost grows with eco, and it starts around 500k a town.

-1, this will put more money into the eco which will cause hyperinflation.

Town costs 500k. 400k is removed from eco, 100k is put in town bank.

    NO MONEY IS EVER ADDED

+1, perhaps a slight reduction in upkeep? I'm talking like 40-45 as opposed to the current 50 per plot

This could perhaps increase players as creating stable towns could potentially increate interaction, which creates a community within a community server. Which gives everyone a fun time. If we achieve this, we could probably see people stay longer than they usually do. To be honest, the server itself needs to revamped.

The 50 meebles per plot is enough. In fact, it should be a hundred.

I support upping the cost for starting a town, and no other increases.

As a small town owner (and resident of another small town) you cannot make prices basing every town as meant to be a large residential town. I prefer having my own space where I don’t have to deal with neighbors, town members, withdrawing from a town bank, and any of the other implications of having a mass amount of people in a hard to control environment.

To astronomically raise the upkeep per plot, or any other way to drive out small towns, simply because they’re small, is not the answer.

I see the issue of not being able to get town members, but you can’t drive out players that are actively playing just because they can’t afford to singly support their 200 plot town because you just tripled the upkeep to support large towns

This would drive out every big town currently and destroy a lot of big towns
    --- Double Post Merged, May 6, 2018, Original Post Date: May 6, 2018 ---
This would hurt big towns most actually

I believe the logic was that, with less small towns, more members would have to go to he larger towns, and taxes could adjust appropriately.

We need more medium towns (30-60 residents) imo. Tbh we should wait until res count picks up in the next month and a half and then decide what to do

I disagree with increasing the price for a town and believe it should remain as is, there are quite a few towny servers that let you create one immediately let alone saving up to make one. Once the vote crate is remade the amount of meebles being injected into the eco will decrease significantly.

The poitn of this is not about the economy, it's about towns. The economy is second as a subject here.
