Custom premade titles to replace rank tags

Ranks can be found using /res. Allowing custom premade titles would give incentive to donate or participate in whatever means needed to get them. These could be incredibly rare, valuable, and a reason to play. Helping player retention,

This would require a command that pulls up a gui (similar to like /effect) the would allow you to pick what title you want visible.

Edit: For staff, the staff rank tag would have to remain visible. This is an issue that can easily be worked out if the suggestion is accepted, since nothing is ever implemented immediately.

 

Not a bad idea, there could be special tags given away at events too.

Adds so much clutter when 70% of people have them.

 

I am in support of temporary tags that last for only a week or month. This is like the tag that PixelPootis won from the Easter events. It's imperative that these tags do not become common because at that point they lose their uniqueness.

You mentioned nation titles and chat clutter. Colors can be preset, the titles will be preset (so no moderation needed to make sure they are appropriate).

The only issue I can see is having staff rank tags be hidden, but we can easily leave it so staff have to remain a visible tag.

 

Can you please explain where the clutter comes from? I mentioned in the title that this will replace the visibility of the rank tag (which can be found using /res), so this wouldn’t add anything extra to chat. In fact, with long rank titles such as exclusive and supreme, there may even be less clutter in chat if a shorter title is used.

 

+1 even if 70% of people can have custom prefixes, possibly (like effects) there would be a bunch of preset tags and chat color combinations and for supreme+ they could set a user submitted prefix and like smk said, /res and /seen both tell ranks

To help player retention MeepCraft should not be blacklisted by Mojang.

 

This is a great idea!! Please do it STAFFFFFF!!!

 

As it is right now, we are legally compliant (quoting Mojang), however they refuse to unblacklist the server after multiple attempts.

 

What exactly dose being blacklisted mean?
