New AFK Farming Rule

So I was reading the rules today, since it's been a while and I want to make sure I'm following them. Come to find out, AFK farms aren't allowed! A few weeks ago, I spent a day and a half on a cactus farm. It's not like a gigantic Hornemans farm that produces 100k a day. No no no. If you want to see it /msg me or reply to this forum. But anyways, I was really bummed! Because I really don't want to have to remove it. Not because I dont want to lose the money, (because I'll barely make any) but because I don't want to destroy the effort I put into it! I asked Vexena about it and I said that some other people had AFK farms. She replied saying that they had them before this new rule. If they're allowed to keep their farms, that is extremely unfair because they are still making money (which I assume you're trying to prevent? if not, tell me what it is)! So if I have to remove/not use my farm then it should be the same for them. And am I allowed to hang around my farm and just chat? yes/no?

Sorry if it sounds like I'm ranting, I'm just kind of annoyed because I HATE breaking rules and/or getting in trouble, but this rule is kind of hazy to me. So if someone could please answer my questions that would be great. Thank you!

 

I dont think you have to remove it.

From what I understand, you just arent allowed to have afk farms that require an active movement (e.g taping down the right click button)

Tbh unless you are dumping massive amounts of money/items into the eco, nobody will even notice/care.

I believe you miss interpreted what vex had said. Farms are allowed, doesn't matter if these farms are automatic or manual. What comes into play, however, is that you are not able to simply afk at these farms. So you can keep your farm, just maybe set a pwarp near it to keep it loaded.

 

I know what a lot of people have been doing, especially in mooville, have been purchasing plots near towns spawns so they get time when residents are doing stuff on their plot.

You could also dig a small hole underground to hide in and put a paperweight on the shift button and nobody would notice that you are there.

 

Technically that's illegal. You can not use any out of game actions to input towards in-game, such as paperweights. However it's not a problem and you wouldn't need to shift in the first place.

Simply put, the farms themselves are not illegal. Afking at them is. This is why the afk filter was put in towns. Any form of evading the afk filter is also illegal.

I dont really understand why
These are the farms where you sit and you do nothing and it makes stuff happen(such as the cactus farms where it forces tge cactus to break above x bloxks high) and it is not a macro (afk fisher, afk cobble gen mining etc)
But literally anyone can make these machines
So why is it a problem
Its not unfair bc ... Well anyone can do it
And "avoiding the afk filter" what does that mean
If Im tapping the W key every couple mins while I have the window active on my screen and half way paying attention to it, is that avoiding the filter?
At that point a staff will do the/msg hey are you there and force tp but I can see that since its on my window -- no avoiding filter there!!!!

Because they don't want "people making money while doing nothing". Like seriously???????
I don't think the person (no offence) who thought of this rule considered the fact that not everyone has the time to grind money through manual labour. They also probably forgot that you still need to put time and effort in selling the stuff obtained from afk farms lol.

Nah. The only illegal "things" are the afk pool and anything that will AUTOMATICALLY bypass the afk filter.

It's retarded that voting daily earns 20k, and hard work, hustling, and scamming only earn 100k/day or so unless you're into dicing, sketch gambling, or collectibles trading. The trick is to engage in markets Senor Nerf or Nothing can't touch... that's why illegitimate business will always be easier and more rewarding than fair play. Plus it's more "engaging" as there's an added element of making sure you don't get caught. The bottom line is that cheating is fun in meep because the normal system frankly isn't.
