Already have. Let me refraise that then, it's not a loss per say but a non fulfilling win.Wins a win at the end of the day, there could have been the chance to win a potato.

I do like the whoever suggested that I would much rather have a $4 piece of coal then a dis-note (coal is at least somewhat useful), However, I do think the structure outlined in my other thread still a win-win, where 1,000 meebles is a loss, I think everyone would be happy with that.

this is exactly my point, they will have a negligible effect on the economy yet will improve the aesthetic of homes, pwarps, etc. rather than a /dis note they might as well have a "better luck next time". that's how useless the notes are. Atleast the aesthetic heads would benefit the server as a whole.

 

under your definition of "useless" both of these items (dis notes and "aesthetic heads") are useless. also, how does an aesthetic head "benefit" the server any more than a dis note?

I assume that you're suggesting that having "aesthetic heads" around the town magically makes the town look better. Even if they did make the town look better, there is most likely a limit of "aesthetic heads" that you will want in your town before it starts looking bad. This means that demand is limited, but supply is ever increasing.

Ultimately, both of these items will become worthless and unwanted. As I explained earlier in this thread, this is due to a limited demand, and an unlimited, quickly increasing supply.

Also, just for clarification, my point wasn't that dis notes have any benefit to the server. They are a LOSS after all.

What’s wrong with dis notes? There’s a high chance to get them and it’s a one time use so getting a second is a steaming pile.

The vote create is supposed to reward a player for voting for this server. When someone gets a duplicate dis note, it’s the server saying “thank you for promoting our server, here’s a piping hot plate of crap.”

Dis notes do need to go away, but replacing them with aesthetic heads is the wrong direction to go. There are many many more head types than dis note types but that will simply extend how long it will take until the heads are worthless, then we’ll be right back here in half a year demanding the heads be changed to something else.

What we need is something that has a limited time effect like haste notes or fly crate rewards.

What I suggest, are 1 Day particle effects/trails excluding the ones that are unlocked by fly crates, used by staff and admins.

When you win these, they automatically apply to your character like a perk.

When you win multiple, you can choose which one you want to have active through the particle effect screen, but all of them are expiring at once.

You can’t sell this reward for meebles meaning it will never oversaturate the eco. If you get a duplicate of a trail the next day, it’s not completely worthless crap.
