Meep Houses

Hey all,

Idea
Do you remember school houses? We could have something like that on meep. Each house will have meepcrafters. Meeplings will participate in events(I.e. parkour, pvp) to earn points for their house. At the end of each month, people in the house with the most points receive a reward.

We will have 4 houses on meep
Fuzzle(RED)
Notch(GREEN)
Horne(YELLOW)
Twilight(Purple)
Cournee(Blue)
Adratopia(White)

Each Meepcrafter will be randomly allocated a house. They will represent their houses in specific events. Once a meeper completes an event, his/her/its house will receive points. The citizens of a house with the most points after a month will receive a reward.

This is a general idea of what could occur, add your ideas below.

Activities

Parkour

Completing a parkour course will insert some points into your house. The amount of points will vary depending on your activity.

Halo

Boomo

Skyblock

PVP

The amount of player kills by a player.

Digging/Mining(other possibilities)

Rewards

The meeplings who are in the house with the most points will receive an award. This could be a perk for a month, a sum of meebles or something else. Meepers who are inactive/do not contribute the minimum requirement of points will not receive a reward.

AFTER EACH MONTH, NEW HOUSES WILL BE ALLOCATED TO MEEPCRAFTERS.

I think the idea is interesting, though I’m not sure I like seperating the server into different groups, and thus creating rivalry between each other.

 

This sounds a lot like Harry Potter, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, RavenClaw, Slytherin.

 

Rivalry is healthy, if they're from different towns sabotage should be difficult at best. Besides, with such dedicated staff I'm sure this shouldn't be a big deal. @diamondkid123456 I think this would work best as a player-hosted event as 1: playerhosted evens work better than serverhosted events 70% of the time and don't break the eco 2: this would be a nightmare to create a plugin for

u could have just said its based out of harry potter since I kinda don't know what schools have this kinda of system lol

But its a interesting idea. One problem that comes at hand, however, players can be inactive for a long time, giving the house a disadvantage to get the most points so. Another is the need for certain players to work together, as some have an advantage over others. Say, in one 'house', the most noobiest of players are here, only participating actively in towns and barely mining (e.g. me), and another house has the most players who are (git) good on halo and parkour (e.g. creepers, viper, etc.). To me, its kinda unfair. Then again, what are the chances that all noob players are filtered into one house only.

Its a nice idea, just kinda has its ups and downs

 

Your suggestion is wonderful but the expansion of your idea could be greater, why not make it a plugin that ties in with Towny Nations after the API update?

Just a quick mock up of how it could be:

• Players achieve points for their nation by completing tasks such as finishing parkour, winning minigames ect
• View the top Nations and the top contributors of the month with commands
• HOUSE OF NATIONS will be a building within the towny spawn that lists existing nations and towns that does not show each nations accumulated points so they don't join a town for glory.
• The top 3 nations each month will receive an item specially tagged with a certain colour of their nations name that they can show off in their spawns.
• The winners will have their nation leader and staff nominate numerous players from their nation as AST models on the 2nd level known as the celebration floor as a prize for being top nation which remain there until the next winners are decided.

This is all good and such, but I think you got a bit carried away, we only have 3 nations...

Seriously though, I prefer this idea to the original, and it would be cool to see nations have more use.

 

Do you understand how long it takes for things to be implemented on Meepcraft? By that time there would be numerous nations.

It would give a financial incentive to make nations meaning that one or two might actually form.

This isn’t a bad idea, but I think personally the addition of “houses” isn’t really necessary. I like the idea of earning points for doing various mini games/tasks but I think that perhaps individual towns or nations should be able to compete with each other on this. Perhaps mayors could choose 4 people from their town to “compete” in the games? Almost like the Olympics. Then at the end of the month there could be a prize for the top 3 teams, which would encourage lots of people to play mini-games. I just don’t see the randomly assigned teams to make any sense.

 

I seriously am considering buying one when I can fix my pc, problem is (for its current function) nations are drastically overpriced. 1 mil is more reasonable for the current function
