Skyblock Anti AFK

Why? You guys do realise that Skyblock is all about farming and all that crap. There are farms that relies on AFK chunk loaders and you guys decided to apply that crappy Anti AFK plugin? Good job Meepcraft. You just killed Skyblock Community. PS. Remove that crappy towny stuff from SB thanks.

Overall just allowing afk machines is kind of the staff as within the rules its listed as illegal. Chunk loaders are useful, but not necessary to play skyblock. These anit-afk plugins are being added specifically to Skyblock and don't appear for the most part in towny (unless the plugin teleports you to spawn for being afk 5 minutes like in towny).

I understand it's frustrating when rules change and you relied on systems now broken, but while having a large impact, the changes made mostly balance out Skyblock to be based on play time more. The old system would allow players to do better than others because they can leave the game running day and night while other players can't. If you need areas loaded, build farms which won't be broken by the new plugins. If the plugin is truly as annoying as you make it out to be, then I wish you luck with this suggestion, though, nothing can be more annoying than the anti-flying plugin, so I doubt this plugin is as annoying as you suggest it is.

 

IMO Since everyone can make an afk machine, they should be allowed. If someone is using a macro to break cobble, that’s a diff. story. It is not difficult for staff to check for macro-ers manually. There’s no reason for an anti afk plugin.

 

I believe the main argument against it is that afking will allow a gap between newer players and older players that will be insurpassable if the older players are always afking.

I personally do not see any reason why afking should be banned when it is essential to run some farms, and if everyone can do it; how would be it unfair?

(And the bit about alts. Alts are bringing money into the server just as often as normal accounts. I have an elite alt, so That’s an extra 80$ donated on top of my ult)

 

Older players are always going to be better at the game. That’s the point of playing longer (you learn new strategies to win). The new players will figure it out

 

the only reason I can think of for an anti-afk in skyblock is if sb was reaching its player limit and its allowing real players to join skyblock and remove alts. +1 for removal.

Building multiple projects spanning multiple hours then being told you can’t get 1/4 of the efficiency. Would that be fun to waste your time?

The problem with stuff like this is that we need compromise. There is an issue with being able to have unlimited afking, and it wouldn’t be ideal to tick off everyone who already made autofarms.

It should have been anti-afk from the start. Unless staff restart everyone, removing afk breaks all the existing farms. Sorry for not being clear.

Right. Can't change it now that everyone's spent lots of time crafting afk systems.

The problem I had wasn't even with the idea, it was with Daedric going absolutely ballistic on staff instead of being helpful and calmly making a suggestion.

 

We both know that older players tend to help the new guys even if they did not ask for help. You are an example of that. You insisted to help me even though I refused multiple times. xD I'd also put what Jess told me once here.

It's hilarious when people say something about a game mode they don't even bother to play. You are irrelevant until you show me that you actually play and trying to.

Unless you know something I suggest you keep your mouth shut. You can call me toxic but I don't really care at all. You absolutely have no idea what I am doing for the Skyblock community.

 

anti afk is not necessary as it is in meepcraft, because any uses for afking for a long period of time is already substantially nerfed and still require an insane monetary and time investment to reap the rewards
