Skyblock changes

Just letting you all know of some new skyblock changes.
You've all asked for spawners to be added again, so that all players to have the option to buy. This is about to happen!
We will also be adding in the afk plugin set to 1 hr, as with the spawners being re added we can't have multiple accounts afking at them. As in the rules it is illegal to afk for gain.
But by making it set to 1 hr it still gives you all a chance to have chunks loaded.

We want to try this out to see how well it balances spawn rates and keeping things even across all islands. We will give it a short trial and have a poll later to discuss changes.

Skyblock is a challenge, and if you're on your island working then the chunks will be loaded anyway.
The shop is being reworked and we are also looking at the challenges that are in skyblock, to make it easier for all players new/old to make skybucks.

We're also highly considering adding jobs for an easier beginning transition.

 

Its essential to remember we are alwaysbup for changes. Throwing a fit and quitting is childish, but you may do as you please. We are always open to changes and suggestions.

 

This is what's wrong Klutch. You have to make your players happy instead of upsetting them even further. You have a 80 players max player base at the moment. You aim to break this but you are doing the exact opposite. Calling players childish for "throwing a fit and quitting is childish" is a silly statement you know? You wanna know why we were upset with the change? It is because something that has negative effects on us was put in place first before we even try out he new things that are coming. Don't you find that silly?
This is how it's supposed to be be Klutch.
Buff -> Nerf not Nerf -> Buff.

FYI. I probably have done (MY WHOLE ISLAND AND ITS MEMBERS) MORE than you in the past month for the Skyblock community so don't give us that crap.
I'm not trying to be hostile here or anything, I'm just saying why it's a terrible idea and trying to justify our actions (I can't say the same for others but I do think they feel the same way).

Chunks can be loaded (Server Settings = 2) but there is this thing called "spawn conditions" Look it up and you'll see all sorts.

Which pretty much ruins the point of automatic farms right? We are playing Skyblock which involves a lot of automatic farming because you won't be able to do every single thing all by yourself. You aim to have the best island and this will involve a lot of automatic farmings. I am not sure if you guys have done your research but every single Skyblock server that has anti afk died you know? Try out some other Skyblock servers to see how they work before applying changes. Research is the key!

This is what I am saying. We are playing Skyblock and NOT Towny. Please remove that Towny crap from Skyblock Thanks.


Just want to let you guys know that as I am writing this, There is only 1 player in Skyblock at the moment. Usually at this time, it has a healthy 12-20 players online and this does not include any of my alts. Look at the negative effects of single change that was implemented so that you can try and change that!

 

Please decide between 1.8 and 1.9 features. It's super cool to be able to spam weapons, but please consider nerfing the damage valued to their intended amount. Diamond axes originally dealt 6 base damage. Now they deal 9. Several players are exploiting these and other damage values to really break the game. I'd recommend either re-add dualhanding and cooldown or nerf the damage to its intended amount.

If you're going to say "but the custom enchantments" consider balancing them so the one (flight) isn't the only one with any value, currently most of the others are useless or overcomplicated

I havent touched skyblock so before you go attacking me, Understand that I have not changed a single thing about skyblock since its creation. Ive never even been there unless its for a modreq. I havent buffed, or nerfed anything. Thats fact Ace.

No, youre pouting and saying youre leaving if we add 1 thing you dont like. Well unfortunately for you, I dont think Ninja and the others in charge of SB want to make it super easy like you seem to want. You find a way to further boost your island and brag about how good it is, but dont want a challenge. You want the spawners and other things, then they will be added. But we need to find a way to make it so that the challenge will still be there. Therefore, removing the ability for players to AFK for days on end, fixes that. If you have a better idea, let us know without starting a thread about how you want to leave Meep because "Its not fair!" Dont just sit there and tell me we have to add things to make it easier but offer no solution for adding the challenge back.

Then whats the solution? Give spawners and unlimited AFK? Or can we discuss other methods. Nerfed spawn rates? Daily spawn limits? AFK kick after a certain amount of hours? That way you have to at least be there once per 6 hours? This is why no one listens to you and I say "Then cry and leave". If you want to offer no solution or have the talk, what good are ya.

Typing like this makes me also not want to read anything else you have to say. you're discrediting yourself and coming across like a pouting child. Try relaxing, take a breath and HAVE THE CONVO with us instead of making a show like you're the king of SB. Its a minecraft minigame. Relax. Notice Zamous below you. Hes banned and has a better grip on how to talk. Figure that one out.

 

Its nice that they're finally actually gonna do something about sky block, not the spawners idea, cause that was accepted, but shop being reworked cause no way in hell was it possible to make money from the shop lol, so good job finally.

There were a several of ideas to give all players a fair advantage with restarting and beginning with a new island. It would have allowed spawners to be incorporated with a high price, which does, in reality, offer a much better challenge than just having sky block as it is now, where most people have completed all challenges and know ways to get to the top island. But hey, just gotta have a smile on your face

You know what's a fact? It is that you just lied to everyone's face. Firstly, you sir added the sb shop back then so saying "I have not changed a single thing about skyblock since its creation" is pretty stupid. Secondly, I am not trying to attack you or anything. You attacked us by saying we are childish for quitting.

You know what's funny? I've managed to take top 3 island easily. Top 1 with the help of my friends. This was all achieved in less than 3 weeks WITHOUT spawners mind you. Now before you talk to me about "challenge" make sure you have actually participated in Skyblock. The challenge is there but once you reach the top 10 island, the only thing there left is taking top 1. Have you ever seen other Skyblocks before? They are successful because they are not limiting players. Meep Skyblock quickly died didn't you see that?

And again, get off your high horse and do some research will you? I did my own research and provided information to Roxy as much as I could. So saying I don't offer any solution is absolutely stupid. Now for you to say something like this, clearly my solutions did not reach your conversation regarding Skyblock improvements. That is not my problem at all.

Because clearly, the ideas from towny are being implemented in skyblock. You'd have to be really blind to not see that.

@Ace what im telling you is that when i say “we” im talking about meep as the collective. I have not personally changed, or been a part of any changes there for a long time. I assisted in the shop setup, but I was reading off a paper and doing what I was told. Simply offering time and perms.

Your comebacks were as expected. Angry in intent, and further off putting of anything I can take and talk to the skyblock people about. You can personally attack me and say “you need this and this is why players are low”, but realistically lets look at what happened.

The afk plugin was in skyblock for months, we all forgot.
Its super unstable and after a reatart, it re created a default config and turned on.
We were saw your post like ooh crap we have to talk about this.
You were already at point quiting.

@Ace My entire point of replying was what (from what I know) the only issue was an anti afk plugin being added.
Is it unreasonable to make the timer 1 hour so that you just have to wiggle your mouse every hour to keep going? Simple conversation dude. Very easy fix.

There's more into it than the suggestion post. I want you to ask members of your staff team first before you come back here thanks. While at it, monitor the player base of Skyblock for a week.

Would a 4-6h afk timer be a better solution? This would prevent massive afking, but not be so obsessive that no one can reap the benefits of an auto farm?


Btw, items like spawners don’t work without players nearby, so the “if you’re working on the island” logic wont work (which is why I still always afk my alt by my ig Spawner)

 

Honestly Meep lag will probably kick you off before 4 hours lol
