Rank Kits

so I cant find any recent suggestions like this but I feel like it has been made before:
kits for specific ranks
the kits would be claimed by doing /kit VIP for example, if you had premium and up you would also unlock /kits because you should be able to claim kits that belong to lower ranks.
the kit would consist of some armor, a sword and a pick and would be fairly balanced to the price of the rank.
one rule for the kits is that they are not allowed in the terrarium.
the kits are not meant to be extremely overpowered as you should need to wait for a long time before you can claim the kits again
I have made an outline of the kits but you must spawn them with a vanilla server console because to get the colors it uses the § symbol.
all the kits have unbreaking on them because of durability
for admins:
to get the items download the latest version of the minecraft server for 1.12.2 and run it, make the eula true and join the server by typing localhost into the server ip
next change the @p to your name and paste the command in the server console, put the items in shulker boxes and then save your hotbar.
go too meep, get the individual kit without any other items in your inventory and do /create kit <kitname>
all that is needed now is for the permissions to be added to the ranks

as an edit, the kits should be able to be obtained with the perk crate but you only get that specific kit, you cant get the exclusive or elite kits if you are premium and get the supreme kit. there should also be a kit voucher you get from vote crates but they should be rare like the endermite spawner. they will allow for 1 free kit redemption

 

Weren't kits a thing at one point?
Either way, kits are considered "pay to play" and I don't know what this server is doing to try and correspond with the EULA because it's not and that's greatly hurting the server, but making kits would further them from this goal (if it still is one at this point).

Disclaimer: I give -5 care whether this server is EULA compliant or not I'm just here to play and it's none of my business what y'all are trying to do.
Also don't make a big argument about the EULA because this suggestion isn't about the EULA it's about kits.

 

the armor doesn't give any effects and it has no attributes so it is honestly really normal gear. I forgot cit gear however.
I have updated it with 2 kits the citizen kit and the admin kit

 

Kits have always been something of an eyesore to me. I don't see any reason to have anything more than a single, basic, starter kit to allow people to get started. They always create an unfair environment that simply isn't fun for starting players to enjoy, and this is the exact opposite of what we're trying to do right now.

The server as it is needs new players, and giving more things to ranks, especially unoriginal ideas that every other server has, will do the opposite in getting new players to stay.

 

"Pay to play" includes normal gear. If donors are able to gain something quicker than the average player, it still counts.

 

is it still really? if you can get the kits with perks and votes than you never need to pay for the ult or legend gear

 

I genuinely don't know what your argument is anymore and you need to be more clear with what you're trying to achieve. Either way, I'm probably not going to agree with you so don't waste your breath.

I'm not the one who makes the rules, I only know how the EULA defines "pay to play."
Not sure if you made this suggestion because you were bored or thought it would be fun, but you invested way too much time into this because even if this suggestion is accepted I highly doubt your exact plan for the kits would be implemented.

This isn't a new idea. If Meepcraft really wanted kits that bad they would have made them/kept them because everyone knows how common kits are.
