World Edit in Creative

    vamp couldn't you just add worldedit.* to the permissions folder for creative? like how people can't to towny commands in the wild because we don't have towny.* (and I don't think we have that in towns)

    btw [plugin].* gives all permissions for that plugin
    for example
    ult has essentials.fly but supreme and lower don't.

    There are several world edit permission nodes that we don't want players to have, therefore we need a select list of specific permissions to give players. See what Klutch said.

    Is there a way you could use perhaps an alternative plugin or have a way to allow a couple commands to go through?

    Is there a sort of workaround or limit thay could be enforced, or at least something that could be planned in the future, rather than simply say no? Can there be an entity limit enforced per plot or a way to exclude certain items, like minecarts, altogether? Ik earlier creative worlds would not allow some items like beacons to be placed bc lag, could a similar block removal thing be implemented?

    It seems enough players want this to be beneficial to add it and it could certainly be a good perk to help draw new players in.

    I dunno if this can be done at all but worth a shot ahaha

    World edit is something that I would like to see implemented for players. As I said in my previous post I have already made a list of suitable permissions for players to receive, with the only issue I can see being the potential for players to create extremely laggy plots.

    If we do end up adding world edit, some of the restrictions you mentioned will have to be added in some form or another, however with my limited knowledge on world edit itself, I wouldn't be the person to decide which restrictions we need.

    I suppose realistically would be to test and figure out a good entity limit - what amount starts to lag players on "meh" quality computers, and set the limit a little lower than that, and completely remove or despawn immediately stuff like minecarts, boats, the whole deal. There's gotta be some way to do something like that. *shrug*

    The biggest thing with WorldEdit for players is the numerous limits and precautions we would need to establish. Like Vamp mentioned, not all features should be available and Async isn't enough to prevent massive lag. Although this is something I'd like to see in the future, I don't see it realistically getting implemented right now. We can always form some ideas however.

    -/+ I like world edit but seeing as how some of us are with normal creative I think it'll be too much work to implement just so some idiot can't place 2000 minecarts. I love world edit don't get me wrong it's fun to mess around with it, but there are times 'messing' can get a little out of hand and for a tech to prevent that might take a bit too much work for the outcome of it all.

    From what I’ve heard in the past, this would be a nightmare to implement.
    It’s one of those things that are great but realistically will probably never happen.

    to my knowledge you cant spawn entities with WE, only blocks and you can set a block change limit.
