Supermods should NOT be able to comment on staff complaints

Reggles I see where you're coming from but seeing that it is a supremod job to make reports on the people of the team that aren't admins or other supermods, I think it is beneficial for supremods to see this forum. Personally, it was very helpful to me to see if a certain staff member wasn't doing what they were supposed to, then I could investigate into it. It's not an admins job as much as it is a supermod's to check on things like modreqs and the way they handle interactions w/ the community. Like, that's the supermod job description basically.

I agree they should be able to see them but the primary means of contact should be through an admin. Supermods need to be part of the discussion but they should not be the only person in the discussion.

Forgive me if I misunderstand how the process works for staff comments, but I can easily see where you're coming from with this.

However, I don't think it'll benefit anyone overall for Supermods to be unable to handle staff comments. From what I gather, a Supermod's responsibility is to moderate the helpers and moderators on the team. Yes, the overall decision rests with Administrators, but this doesn't mean that Supermods should not be able to handle basic reports or compliments.

If a report is really serious enough to consider a demotion, why would a Supermod not go to an administrator to discuss this with? For cases where a Supermod is the one being reported, what is the difference if someone files a comment against a super, and they read it, and one filed against an admin, and they see it? Both are still people, both can make mistakes. The reason I don't think this leads to the idea moderators/helpers should be involved is it has nothing to do with their role on the team. Player reports are open for all to see, even those with no involvement. So why can we not trust staff members who have earned their way to the role second only to admin to read a report about themselves?

Not to mention, this only adds to the workload of administrators who already have plenty on their plate.

My apologies if I'm mistaken in any way here, but I don't see what it would benefit to restrict staff comments further.
