Explanation and Information.

Hey all. I just wanted to make some things clear as I have seen and heard many people "Trash talking" and insulting due to ignorance in the community. I can take some blame for this as I have not explained how it works, but I also blame a few people who have decided to make an attempt to show leadership skill through belittling and harassment. Its pretty sad to see some of these comments from ex staff, but we roll with it as 99.9% of them don't bring any concerns to our attention until they quit like the big bad wolf. So if you want to read this and learn a little bit of the staff workings I've recently implemented, here is the explanation many of you have been asking for.

Ill start with the workings, then go into whats going on.
In the US Military, they use something called decentralized command. Essentially its a way for everyone to be on the same page, while executing the plan they understand without direct command. I've implemented this for Meep Staff in a way we thought would best help Meep. I asked every staff member what they were passionate about on Meep. Some said Skyblock, some said Parkour, some said Lottery, Ect. Some categories were added based on what I asked the community and you all said were the most important, such as "Staff to Player Communication". The staff members that had the most interest were set to this task and have been going around asking players for input depending on what they're known for.

Ill give an example to better break it down. Flamedemond was interested in the lottery plugin. He has been given any and all information regarding the plugin and its possibilities and he has been working on an outline taking other staff and players ideas and input. He makes an outline and sends it to the admins to review. We check over it to make sure its something thats possible and wont use too many resources, or clash with other peoples ideas or projects. We approve it and then it goes on Trello for the techs to look over and be implemented. Obviously Lottery isn't first on our list of priorities so it will wait until the things above it are done, but the lotto plugin (100% thanks to Flame) will be something you all had input in. It takes a weight off myself, and is much better managed because not only is Flame passionate about it, but he has more time to focus on it.

This is what every staff member has been tasked with which is why a lot of times people will ask me about additions to Skyblock of PVP, and I will just say "T3k, Ninja, and SMK are in charge of Skyblock". Because those are the people who you want to express your concerns and ideas to. You can make a forums post about SB and those will be the people who will go looking on forums for your ideas, asking in game, and taking other staffs ideas and making the best SB they can. Since all these tasks are handled my people who are so passionate, it takes them off my plate and lets me focus onthe things I need to like the current ads, updating to 1.12, issues with the server with Fuzzlr, and a bunch of other boring admin crap.

I see a lot of people saying "Klutch doesn't take other players ideas" , "Klutch is stubborn and doesn't listen", ect. The reason these make me so mad is because the ONLY time I comment on something is if its Economy based (which ill explain in the next paragraph), or if someone is complaining and I'm defending the other staff members decision. Most people, including ex staff, will say how unorganized we are; which to be fair, we used to be, but now we have gotten it sorted out and we are working towards a more efficient way of handling things.

The reason I run all eco stuff is because thats what my passion here is, and I dont have a choice anyway. My job in this is to go over everyones pricing, payouts, and balance them all to make sure no one is super nerfed or super buffed. I need to say this in caps and tag a few people so that some people like @MegaStufOreo and @DarkKnight49x can understand that I have not once, not a single time, changed anyones prices or edited them or even said no. I told everyone that I trust them and since we are all now on the same page, everyone like @Flamedemond2 and @Midnight_Galaxy have been coming up with very fair and very organized pricing. My input into their projects has been limited to none as I want them to have all the creativity and passion they can put into it.

Fuzzlr has been a huge contributor and although you may all complain you never see him, he is on every day helping us add, organize, and fix issues within the server. Regardless if you agree or disagree with the way we are doing things, unless you put fourth an idea or strategy I hope you let us try this out and see how it goes. So far its been incredible with helping us get updated and moving on a VERY progressive track. We have had ideas in all aspects that will be incredible updates for you guys.

I hope this explains what you guys wanted to know and I hope it clears up some ignorance issues with players who want to bash from the sidelines while doing nothing but making it harder for us to attract players due to the negativity you push in game, on forums, and on discord. Heres a current list of priorities (with some small additions not included)

1. Updating the server to 1.12
2. Balancing Ranks and Perks
3. Getting Un-blacklisted via the changed above.
4. Updating Towny and adding the suggestions from there.

Not in any order,
We plan to fix PVP and get input on that (No one is in charge of that yet)
Getting minigames working and current.
Fixing all the small things like the parkour plugin and skyblock issues, Ect.

To all of Klutch's haters what he is doing is his job. He's an admin, and that's what admins are supposed to do. They're supposed to only take good suggestions into consideration, but rn, they're busy dealing with stuff related to 1.12 and all that. So I recommend that you respect Klutch and all of the Meep staff team and just give them a break for a little while.
Klutch especially is actually a good person if you're on his good side. Like him, and he'll like you back. So I recommend taking this section of this post into consideration.

Can't help but notice that you deleted another of my posts on this thread instead of constructively responding to it. I didn't think this before, but now I DO believe you're stubborn and don't listen. I wonder if this will get deleted because I have a slightly negative opinion of you...

Joking aside, the server just needs more people. And half the cost of ranks and den erry1 is happy.

 

Eh, don't half all of them or things would get ridiculous. Just make rank costs a non linear scale.

Says the kid that trash talks Meep because he left a day before the staff update. Your "list of things youve done for Meep" resides at a whopping 0. Maybe a 0.2 for a few modreqs. Put fourth some actual change before belittling others. Your leadership skill and attitude will make certain you remain at the lowest position of your real life job, guarenteed.

I mean, it wasn't exactly hate, or flaming, as can be seen. But if you really want some constructive criticism, here goes.
Improve your communications with people. You're certainly not a bad admin (although I'm not a fan of the swathes of nerfs to economy), but from the little I've seen of you and people's opinions of you, you don't seem very popular, and I'm fairly sure it's because of the fact that

you say things like that. Sarcastic or not, you should know sarcasm is not transmitted over the internet. And if it wasn't sarcastic, well, I hope you can see my point about improving communications and generally being nicer.

 

Thanks for the update! I'm glad you took the time to format and write this so that the community understands what you guys are trying to do and how the staff team will be run. You're the bomb klutch!

 

Anyhow. I really like this method and think it will work well. If anyone has any concerns, please feel free to bring it up with some staff and we'll refer you to the person working on that (which klutch has been doing for a while now).

 

The nerfs to the economy, as mentioned in the 40 mile long post, are not always me. My method of nerf is always start low, then add. If you look at the changelog of economy, Ive STRICTLY buffed for the past 8 updates. Literally 0 nerfs. In fact, after we update to 1.12 fully, I have a fairly OP buff coming to make it 9 in a row.

One thing I learned is you can always add with no negative feedback. When you remove, players get mad. So I get everyone mad in the beginning, then make them happy 9 times in a row! Haha

Not in any way to bash or flame you, but I believe the best way for a server to grow is for the community to have a good relationship with the owner.
