Coming Back?

Hello guys!
I don't know if many of you remember me, but I am an old "Meeper" I don't remember when exactly I joined, but I logged into the forums the other day and got the "two years" award, so there's an idea. I remember playing on this server and having so much fun. This was a great server. I became an avid forum member and community member. My reputation was not the best at times, and I got a few people banned. I am sorry if we had any arguments are bad times, I am different now and would like to resolve things.
Now onto the point of this thread
I would like to return to this server very much, but I don't want to come onto a dead server. I remember when this server would die during the school year, and I would like to know if that is still the case. If someone would politely give me some stats and updates on this server, I would very much appreciate that!
I want to come back to the old Meep, the wooden spawn Meep, not a dead Meep.

I don't remember you from back when I was on Meep from two years ago, but welcome back. I actually just got back on myself and I've been having a good time with the exception of selling my enchanted books. All in all, if you feel at home with the community, stay a while!

At a single point in time, during active hours it's 30-35, and at peak time 50-ish, maybe a bit less. However if you mean how many players play on the server within the duration of a whole day, I have no idea.

 

We have around 500 total active players.

It's too bad that Minecraft as a whole has kinda dropped. Good ol days of 1,000 players online

Sort of? I recognize that name but we never interacted. I've only just come back too, seems like meep is being remembered.

 

No clue, see a bunch of regulars on the server nowadays. It's more of a community than a big server.

If players decide to not join because the peak has dropped how are we going to gain another player. Every single person contributes to the community so if you do decide to play again welcome back pal.

Player stats aren't at their peaks, but we're still having a blast over here, and I think I'm speaking for most of the community.
As @Kling said, it's a vicious circle. If players like yourself don't join based on the fact that our player count has gone down, our player count cannot grow.

New players? I just won't enjoy the server if they are not many players online. I enjoyed this server for the towny community and from the looks of it, that won't be that strong.

 

The towny community, at least in my opinion, is still very strong. My opinion might be from a weird standpoint, having been on Meep for just a bit over a year, and approaching that number on forums, but I don't believe it disqualifies me from having one. A lot of old people, that I've read/heard about have left, yes. Yes, there aren't that many people playing as before. But I still know everyone on Meep, it's still a tight community, a web knit between us, that creates a sense of belonging.

30-50 people online at a time isn't much, compared to past rates, yes, but if you're searching for that amazing word, a community, then you won't have trouble finding it.

 

Towny' definitely strong. Minigames aren't quite as so, but you can still get enough people to play them. There may be fewer giant towns, but there are still many great, beautiful towns with a full player base around it. (Also, I think a total of over 50 /pwarps is a good sign of towny world use)
