can't get on this morning (Friday)

I can't seem to log on this morning. I keep getting the error java.net.socketException: network is unreachable.

Is meep down? anyone else having this problem?

 

I am having the same problem, I am not sure what is wrong.

Just thought I'd put this in, but after reading all your posts and being worried about getting the same error I was able to log in without any trouble. Have you tried squid hq?

Meep is currently blacklisted by mojang [Edit: I think I caused some confusion, and to clarify, Meep has been blacklisted since late December, and most people can get on Meep without Squid hq] because Meep doesn't follow EULA standards. Using Squid hq instead of the regular start up will allow you to by-pass the blacklisting. This doesn't affect everyone, and most people can go on Meep without using it, but some need it to start Meep up. It's safe, and it only affects blacklisted servers. There is nothing else to it. Welp I'm quiting then, that's kind of ridiculous that you have to download a separate launcher to play on a server that is pretty much dead.

 

Yea, it's a problem for sure, but as I said, it doesn't affect most people. I only know a few that have to use it, most can get on fine without it. However yes, your point is very valid when concerning meepers, especially new people, who won't bother downloading it if they don't care for Meep.

 

After having the same problem I read this post and tried with the SquidHQ launcher and I still couldn't connect... Maybe I did something wrong but I doubt it. I think they're updating.

No. It is referring to giving advantages to people who buy ranks that others do not have. Things like /fly are inaccessible unless one pays, same with perks like /fix, and Mojang is not okay with that.

 

But everyone does have access people can buy ranks from other players with meebles

Hey if fuzzlr put it so that everyone had access to /chest and /back and that if you get a rank it increased the storage like normal would that not count as not play to win as it would be same thing in a sense?

 

Doesn't change the fact that Mojang does not want a server to sell any perks that would give advantages in gameplay. This is why cosmetics are allowed.
