PUBLIC BANS

You certainly ask the right questions to know I didn't ask for an admins permission for this thread.

Because not everyone on the team can frequently be ingame and see the communities views and opinions on the matter I made this thread because of a statement one of the admins made when releasing the public bans to the team so. Unfortunately I won't say the statement to show you I am in the right with this thread because I do not want to be demoted for leaking but know this was made to inform the staff team on how the community feels about the change whether its mainly positive or negative so it is not great to throw me under the bus saying what I should probably do when you don't know entirely what happens behind closed doors anymore.

At the end of the day this thread is gathering the research we need and have the community voice their beliefs, this will have an affect to whether it stays or not.

I mean this in the most not-staff-bashing-way: you know what would be an even better way to gather community research? A public town hall meeting in discord, in which we talk about this and other topics. That way people can voice their opinions rather than being keyboard warriors, because lots of things get misunderstood this way. One of the trademarks of "old meep" was the town hall meetings, they were fun and brought the community together, and stuff got done - Fuzzlr hears things right away, as well as the admins.

 

They were fun but the only reason why I do not find them greatly effective is because after all the hall meetings I attended everything that was discussed when it comes to things being done and changes nothing really happened 6 months prior to the meeting. I do agree though that they are nice for bringing staff and the community together for everyone to voice their opinions better, I wouldn't mind one being done.

 

Public bans and kicks are now private. We will be sure to continue giving the correct reasoning for all bans and if you believe there is a problem you can always file a staff comment.
