I did not see the video, I was on my phone which can't display media other than text. Anyway, he elaborated on when he met putin, and it turned out to be him lying to make himself seem more important. He said he met putin on 60 minutes, but it turned out he was lying.

I never denied that he was a liar, I think hes just like a poop, if you put him under enough pressure he might turn into a diamond. Its nitpicking because like 80% of the lies are him posting "Look at me eating kfc" and you guys are like "IF YOU LOOK REALLY CLOSE ITS ACTUALLY MCDONALDS NOT KFC".

That's not true, it's not about nitpicking, nor is it about catching him in any individual lie. If he lies about such mundane things, what assurance is there he won't lie about the big things? How much of his campaign promises are lies? He could be lying about collusion with Russia, we don't know.

We know he says so much untrue things it's safer to assume anything he says is false rather than true.

It's the same reason I didn't vote for Clinton or supported the impeachment on Bill, if you lie about things that do not matter, almost certainly you lie about things that do.

I suggest we have a contest. You post things he said that are akin to the KFC statement, and we can post things he said are blatantly untrue with consequence. Let's see how each side adds up.

I'm going to copy-paste my post from earlier in this thread on pg. 79: I would agree that the lie by itself is relatively asinine and unimportant. However, it highlights a concerning trend we've seen with Trump--ignoring the facts, and changing them to fit a narrative. Brushing off actual facts and historical research at-will is very dangerous--from the article, Trump essentially says he knows more than the tens of historians and Civil War-experts.

Given this, it's reasonable to extrapolate that Trump will have issues listening to experts who disagree with whatever preconceived notion he has, which becomes an issue when the administration needs to make policy regarding something that's not within the scope of his expertise. It's like an art major writing the curriculum for engineering courses.

TLDR: While this is a little white lie in itself, it shows that Trump can't shut up about things he doesn't know, which is bad for policy.

What do you mean by "KFC statement"? Is it just any time progressives criticize donald for unimportant and petty things?

We're not talking about that. We're talking about things he said that are untrue.

You list his untrue statements that equate to your KFC comment.

We'll list his untrue statements that carry consequence.

Let's see who has more on their list.

I'll start, to give you an example

Donald Trump has claimed that the people Mueller has hired are Clinton Supporters. His statement exactly was

"I can say that the people that have been hired are all Hillary Clinton supporters, some of them worked for Hillary Clinton," he said of the special counsel staffers."

    This isn't true.

The justice department has released info on 8 of them. 3 of those 8 donated to Clinton - None of them worked for the Clinton campaign.

Why would Trump keep trying to smear these guys if he has absolutely nothing to hide? Wouldn't the best solution be to just let them do their jobs and be found innocent and move on?

Why is government surveillance on everyone a bad idea if law-abiding people have nothing to hide? Wouldn't the best solution be to let them do their jobs and find the law-abiding people innocent, catch the criminals, and move on?

If you're Trump, you don't want an investigation happening even if you're 100% innocent, because anything can happen in the investigation. Keep in mind, these investigations are so thorough that even if you were innocent of dealing nefariously with Russia, you might be found guilty of some other minor misdeed that would open a whole new can of worms (which obviously would be bad for Trump).

Now I'm not saying he's innocent at all, and I tend to agree with what you're saying--an investigation is absolutely justified. But I just wanted to clarify that if you're Trump, you'd rather there be no investigation at all.

However the way Trump is going about this is just creating more problems, because like you described above it's arguable that he's obstructing justice.

Sure, I agree, but he and his supporters have continuously argued from the position he's done nothing wrong at all, which is clearly erroneous judging his actions.

Interrupting our game to gloat on how bad your party is on accomplishing anything. Even though they control the government. How horrid is the health care bill?

So horrible they can't even get their own team to play ball lol

@Deinen I couldn't find anything that he lied about within the "150" lies NYT posted. Also, where are the sources within the "150" lies they posted, besides them "telling the truth" in parenthesis? NYT lies and has been caught lying. and I'm sorry but who cares about the crowd size. You look at the list they "made up" about Trump's lies and you look at Hillary's lies. Hillary has lied much more and about much more larger things. But I cant mention her because this is a Trump thread and if a Democrat does it its okay but if a Republican does it all hell breaks loose.

Now on to a topic I enjoy. Ummm, did we just get a travel ban? did they vote that the first 2 bans were not unconstitutional? oh, and these people that have "more experience" than Trump didn't know that? hmmm, funny how things work in the name of Trump.

@Deinen I blame Paul Ryan for the healthcare bill. You know whats funny is they said "Its Obamacare but with Trumpcare youll save more money with tax cuts". If its so bad, why wasn't it bad when Obama did it? Oh wait! it was bad, both suck. However, we have a President and administration that are willing to work and fix the problems with it.. We have a house that voted for it and a Senate that will revise it and come back with a rebuttal. I think Ann Coulter has the best idea for healthcare. "leave Obamacare for the ones that want it and put healthcare back on the free market". PERFECT IDEA ANN!

No, all that happened was that the Supreme Court agreed to hear the case, in October I think? Until they hear the case they've decided to reinstate some portions of the travel ban, but they have not officially decided wether it is constituional or not. The decision was 6 judges wanted the ban heavily modified and 3 wanted it to remain the same. But yeah in a larger sense the ban is technically reinstated for now, any people from the banned countries without bona fide relationships with a US citizen cannot enter our country.

Additionally Trump has had more than 90 days to institute his "extreme vetting". He was not stopped from doing that and by all means the administration should've already finished putting their procedure in place regardless of the ban being stopped.

They just like to whine a lot.

Its not about them whining. Everything they do gets thrown back because
1.) They don't want a Republican doing better than the Democrats.
2.) They want to go against Trump in any way they can.
When you have actual judges in idk California and Hawaii that say "The ban is unconstitutional" but then find out its not. The judges shouldn't be allowed to be judges anymore. The first travel ban should have stayed in play and by now it would be over and everything would be just dandy.

It's hasnt been deemed constitutional or not. Like I just explained to you: the judges simply agreed to hear the case in October, that is when they'll actually vote. They reinstated it with heavy restrictions because 6 of the 9 judges want major modifications to it currently.

Why isn't the administration done already? They've had plenty of time to finish their vetting procedures. They didn't need the ban to do the procedures, the ban was because Trump said irreversible damage would be done by letting those countries enter. The admin was never barred from putting the vetting procedures in place so why haven't they just done it and got it over with? Laziness?

Ha, this administration is far from lazy my friend. I think this is another great Ann Coulter example. Before we can do anything, we need to shut the borders down. When a bathtub over flows the 1st thing you do is turn the water off. Then you figure out if your going to use a mop, rag or vacuum to clean up the water. Well the water is the people. We can't figure out what to do with the illegals here and we cant figure out how to stop bad ones from coming into America until we stop them from coming here for a short time. Now I disagree with Ann Coulter saying we should shut them down for 10 years but I think 3-6 months would be good. And that stops immigration from Mexico, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, China, everywhere. Except for people who are coming for school purposes or medical purposes.

Its not a Muslim ban, it has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with the culture and what they are doing. Have you watched the news lately? So many Muslims are killing innocent Americans. And this includes immigrants. No person should be killed for no reason. These countries that are on the ban list have many terrorist attacks and murder rates so high, they don't need to come here until they fix that.

What lie Deinen? Crowd size? Oh no he said he had a really large crowd size, ooooo no he didn't have the largest, he's incompetent to be President because he can't even see how big his crowd size is. Maybe his crowd size wasn't as big as Obamas because all the people who voted for him were at work.

Except he's just giving an observing opinion, he's not actually admitting anything because Bonifield works on CNN's Health team and isnt connected with their political coverage in any way.
