Beacon Improvements

As most everyone knows, beacons are very useful items that allow players to gain effects by standing near them. The effects that you can gain from a beacon include regeneration, haste, strength, resistance, speed, and jump boost.

However, I think it would be interesting to allow beacons to wield more effects. Allowing for all effects in the game would benefit the economy by putting beacons in greater demand, stimulating the economy for getting them. With the recent removal of either skulls in the server shop, this means players are going to the Nether. In the Nether, more items are lost than any other world because it is so dangerous. Therefore, taking items out of the economy.

The benefit of the beacons themselves is the increased functionality. Example: I'm clearing an ocean monument, so I make a night vision beacon. This will not damage any current market especially because brewing is broken anyways.

I like this, but I feel most people don't even have beacons so this won't really make a huge difference. I'm gonna leave this at +/- because while I like the idea, the impact it will make will be so minimal, I don't think it will be worth it.

 

That's the thing though, it'll increase their demand if there is a larger variety of things you can do with them.

ya dingus buy a potion. When was the last time you bought potions really? Increasing the versatility of beacons would make potions pretty much worthless.

 

I believe brewing is malfunctioning as of now, and also, beacons don't solve everything. Potions would be better if you either want a low-cost option, or if you're going to be traveling a distance quickly.
