I say stick with skywars. If you add improvements to it, then it will be fun again. I would 100% play it. Changing the gamemode would be too hectic at a time like this in my opinion.

 

What is eggwars? sounds fun, last time skywars didn't have enough people to be played at all times.

This isnt a minigame server and we dont need more minigames
We need more towny content and towny/spawn/wild related things fixed and made more fun so more people would come back and new people would stay when they see the coolness

I don't see how we would "progress" as a server if we were just a Towny server. If that was all we did for a server, it would just be boring.

I'd really love to see Skywars added again. Hopefully, in the near future, I'll come back to try it out.

 

Personally, I favor the concept behind eggwars because it's heavily team based. I see players on Discord together so they can play more efficiently. Plus, Skywars can get pretty boring when everybody knows all your tricks.

Since this is about Eggwars and Skywars I could not be bothered. I believe neither will gain us a decent amount of players because much larger servers have them, yes we have the small community but the community but the small player base does not bring you games quicker.

What I would like is for towny to have changes we will not be the largest towny server without updates. Unfortunately no one wants to touch it because you can mess it all up with a minor mistake to what I have been told.

I believe UHS has potential to gather new players over Egg/Skywars if updated because the last one was absolute garbage.

I'm sorry for getting you addicted to eggwars before you became staff, lol.

Huge plus 1 for eggwars. Eggwars has much much more potential than skywars, which is already on 90% of servers. Eggwars alone could bring in donations, save players from leaving the server, and give towny players a fun way to make money. This could also bring back some older players.


If you are an older player (or any player, but most older players have this misconception) you NEED to be willing to change from the "we are a towny server, not a minigame server, so just work on towns". We have been using this mindset and focusing only on towns for the last two years, and the player count hasn't risen for more than a month or two (due to Preston doing a vid). We need something else other than towns to attract players, and keep them on the server. One of the next best things that we have on the server atm to retain players would be skyblock, but we denied all of my suggestions in the past that made skyblock more fun (so let's try a minigame instead)

Most people don't come for minigames, and even if they do, they rarely stay. This server is a towny one, so adding lots of minigames wouldn't do much. People go to big hubs for those. While I do like having a few, cause I myself really enjoyed playing skywars (Though now with Ellie's explanation I am considering Eggwars, they sound quite fun) and halo pre-reset, it's adding things to towny is that will bring players in.
