Alright, so i have an idea in order to stop this "sources are false"

Maybe, try and find multiple sources? Like, maybe 2, like blue did. Maybe look for articles from sites you recognize (new york times, cnn, the guardian, who cares)

I'm suggesting this to keep both sides happy.

Im not contradicting myself, her dad got fired from his job (that isn't a choice), the choice to sit home a cry about it for 6 months and not find another job is a choice. So, becoming poor may not be a choice (when you lose your job, as what happened to her dad) but staying poor and literally not trying to better yourself is a choice. So being poor and staying poor is a choice, becoming poor from getting fired is not. make sense?

Maybe I should just ask daddy for a few hundred million dollars like our Great Emperor the Orange Slug-in-Chief did. :+1:

    It isn't.

Though it might not be accurate, the wayback machine suggests that the article was written in January 21st, 2010

There are earlier copies of the page however those redirect to a site error, leading me to suggest it wasnt then.

This is not true. I will use my family as an example. Where my grandparents lived, they had the highest education in the country and even my grandmother got her masters where women were treated unequal. Where they lived, got taken over by muslims and they were forced to move to Africa, then later to the USA. When they came here, my mom and grandparents were homeless, and were told that their education was disregarded in the USA. My grandmother worked 4 minimum wage jobs and my Grandpa worked 3 and still had to take care of their children. They were soon able to buy a house (not in the best area though). My uncle was killed when he was 14 years old and they both had to keep working. My mom started working at the age of 11 to help provide for the family and feed herself and manage her studies because her parents were never home. They worked their butts off and were still poor. My grandparents are both in their 80's and still work 12 hours everyday of the week. Sometimes being poor is inevitable no matter what you do.

He also paid his father back, with interest. So you can also go get alone of lets say 100k and turn it to a million.

    Well it is true.

    Thats wonderful!

They were taken over by Muslims? The Muslims forced them to move to another country? PLEASEEEEE explain! please please please, because this will happen to America if we stay on the path Obama led us on.

    Why was it disregarded?

Again, my point was its a choice to be poor. They came to America poor and started working their butts off to get out of that boat and live a better life.

A death in the family does not stop the family from going, I would hoped they kept working, as every other family in America.

My grandpa picked beans for 10 cents a basket at 10 years old to help out the family because his dad died, your point?

Not poor, again, you said they bought a house, they had food, they had a place to stay, they had jobs. that isn't poor.

No its not, my great great aunt who is in her 80's (all my family had kids very young that is why she is still alive and fairly young for being a great great aunt) she raised her 3 kids plus my great grandmas 5 kids (so 8 kids) in a 2 bedroom house, didn't have a car or drivers license, lived in a very very very small town in Alabama (still is a small town and she lives in the same house that she did back then) she worked as a waitress and my uncle picked up golf balls, cleaned em and sold them back to players and still survived. They would fill the tub up with water and all take a bath in the same water, they would eat cereal and when one was done they would poor the milk into someone else bowl, they would alternate doing chores, they all worked together. My great great aunt married a walmart employee, he didn't have any kids, he moved in with them and made 10 bucks an hour and just retired 2 years ago with a $250,000 bonus check and retirement each month, FROM WALMART! and he is a part time employee there just for fun. It can be very tough but not impossible.

It must me so easy to sit there and judge the hardships of others when you have never struggled for anything. You think my dad didn't look for better work? Not many jobs were in the area and nobody wanted to hire a 50 year old man with little college. He did the best he could with what he had. As for "not being allowed a life crisis," how fucking dare you. He spent 23 years dedicated to a company. He worked for Porter Paints and do you want to know what he did over that 23 years? He opened 4 different stores throughout southern Ohio. Two of which earned him an award for making over a million dollars in sales. He also got the contract and made the paint for the kiddy section at Kings Island. He also won several awards for being best sales associate in the region. Do you know what that got him? During his last five years he had increased hours, cut pay several times, and he had to run an entire store by himself. Then they decided that it would be cheaper to just let him go than pay him what he deserved for all of his accomplishments. There were many times that I heard my parents cry at night. My mom hated herself because she still needed her medicine but couldn't work to help support the family and my dad felt worthless because he couldn't find a job. Like I said in a previous post, there were many times when the only meal I would get would be from school and I don't even know how many times my parents went without eating.

@Erebus45 are you only reading half of what I post? lol be forreal,
1.) As I have said before, being poor is a choice. Your dad did not ask to get fired. He did not ask for that HOWEVER! He did not want to be poor so he got low paying jobs to help bring the bread home.
2.) when you have a family to raise and support you can't just take 6 months off of work to cry about it, you suck it up like the rest of America does and get another job. I'm not sorry for saying that because it's true.
3.) How dare me what? How dare me state the truth?
4.) why in the hell would a company fire someone who is that good of an asset to their business? If your dad brought in over a million dollars in assets to the company itself, don't ya think they would do whatever they could to keep him? Sounds to me like the business owner needs his head examined.

You sir, just dug your own grave up.
Millions, if not atleast 1 billion people eat cereal everyday. As for the milk part, I don't how to respond to that.
"Still survived" Survived the deadly onslaught of golf balls that murders everything it touches?

Someone needs to knock some empathy into you. Hell, they might need to SURGICALLY IMPLANT it into you.

    How so?

I eat cereal everyday, im saying when they ate their cereal they shared the same bowl of milk after they ate it. Im not saying eating cereal "is a struggle" but how many millions of people have to share the milk from their cereal bowl with a cousin or sibling?

Are you delusional? Im saying when a golfer would hit a ball over the fence by uncle would go pick up the golf ball, clean the golf ball, and sell it back to the golfers. and still survived. NOT SAYING GOLF BALLS KILL PEOPLE! Im saying he still survived as in putting food on the table, etc etc.

I have listened to many stories in life, I have seen people literally struggle but that doesn't mean you just stop everything and cry about it. Whats crying gonna do? give you a headache is what its gonna do. I cry all the time over things but that doesn't mean I should take a 6 month grieving time over the loss of my job.

Oh yes it was only $14 Million. I apologize for the hyperbole. Oh gosh how hard it must've been to have started off with that mere amount of money, practically nothing. Trump truly does stand for us average Joe hard working folks :) May God bless the Mango Mussolini for years to come

He couldn't find a job, he just didn't sit there crying all day. God, he might have been working so hard to find a job, and couldn't find one.

If the world was going to end, in the last few seconds before a humongous meteor hits the earth and kills you, would you cry? If everyone in your family dropped dead right now except you, would you cry? No, apparently not, because "it hurts your throat"

    Honestly, your arguments are ridiculous.

    Back to trump.

@PixelPizza comparing my entire family dying and a meteor hitting the Earth and destroying it to someone losing a job lol, makes perfect sense. She also said her dad fell into a depression for 6 months, besides that isn't the point, the point is her dad didn't want to be poor and got a job and is on the path to a better life. He might have to work harder then some people but he will get there, eventually. He is choosing not to be poor.

    I can use caps too.

HIS FATHER IN TOTAL LENT HIM $14 MILLION. YES THERE IS ONE LOAN FOR $1 MILLION BUT THERE WAS MUCH MORE LOANS THAN JUST THAT ONE. DON'T BE STUPID.

Edit: I realize you may not have a WSJ subscription so here you go.

Also just in case you're lazy:

"The Wall Street Journal tracked down a 1985 casino-license disclosure that showed Trump’s father lent him $14 million — a value of $31 million in today's dollars"

I see sources saying 1 million, 14 million (as you shared) and 100 million, Donald Trump himself has said 1 million dollars so that's what I'm going with. Banks and loan offices can't share Trumps information to the world without him allowing them too so all that can be made up. Besides that even if he did receive 14 million from his father, look what he turned it into, over 3 Billion dollars, I'd say he is a smart guy.
