EVENTS! :)

Alright so here I am back again and I posted on a threat earlier that reminded me of this. Before the server reset and really you gotta think back to when @junelawnchaired was a smod, I'll give ya a minute to think about that.... Anyways June was the events queen in my eyes. She was constantly doing them and was pretty much the only staff member besides @reggles44 (may he rip) that did them. So my thought was to either have a couple scheduled events a week or if we could some how work the events like boomo. When a certain amount of people go to /warp events (or is it pwarp idk it's been so long) that is automatically starts when say 6 or more people jump in the arena. I haven't been in an event since before Christmas

@MasterofBoom has a version where you make a repeating command block summon anvils above your head over and over, but that sounds fun, too.

We should make a server staff rank called Event Staff and they would be able to host events. No other perms though. More events because while helpers are off doing modreqs, event members can host events.

 

Facts ^^ when they get around to fix events!

Who would be qualified?
How many do we need?
Would anyone even apply for this?

 

Unless we made events like the other mini games, and it was random on what arena it picked and what not. idk I just want them fixed so I can play

 

Anyone who is online a lot and has a clean record wound be qualified.
We would only need like 3-6.
I don't know about you but I wound certainly apply for that job.

Edit: Also, you'd have to have been on the server for at least a year.

 

Why would we do that when we could have a mod/helper roaming around. We just need staff to be divided into specialities (like community management, detecting cheats, support, etc) we don't need more staff when 30% of online players are staff.

However staff management is irrelevant to this suggestion.

 

A) n00bslayer_99 got banned a hell lotta times and he became helper before resigning, so why do you need a clean record?

B) There shouldn't be that many if this post stands-

C) I'd rather have more work than hosting events, which, I don't think I get to play


D) One year? Meep is 5, do you really have to make me wait until it's 6?

1. events arent really held as often, because smods and higher ups are tasked with helping find server issues and such and fix whats needed to keep the server enjoyable.
2. they're broken and we got a lotta stuff to do still xd
3. i miss events too but the issues with the server are always #1 priority.

 

So when Events is back up and running (I know staff are busy right now, getting things set back to normal with the reset and all) but when they get around to fix events I think a good solution would be to allow mods to hold an event instead of just super+. That allows more staff members to host them.
