1.10 or 1.8 PVP?

So people like Legendcaleb who can pvp, and still don't like 1.10 , what happens do your argument there

1.8 all the way. Keep 1.10 but remove the weapon cooldown

Minecraft PvP is arguably the least satisfying part of the game. I like building, mining, and plugins. I don't think the game was meant for PvP like some big games such as Call of Duty.

 

I think 1.11.1 fixes this.

Everyone finds a reason to play the game. I liked playing single player for a while, then went to pvp for 3 years and went back to single player because I decided I disliked people. Games like Call of Duty 4 is used a lot for reasons not intended for the game. Hypixel is a huge factor of people not playing minecraft like how it was developed.

1.8 pvp can't resurrect a dead aspect of meepcraft

I'd say change terrarium and kitpvp to 1.8 as it is preferred and more fun, and keep towns to 1.10 so people who prefer 1.10 pvp can use it.

 

1.10 added too much useless stuff ): fixed things that didn't need to be fixed.

 

That's a matter of opinion, honestly. If the game wasn't meant to have any combat, why did Microsoft deem it necessary to spend an entire update (that took more than a year to release) on making the new PvP system? I don't like the new system, personally, but that's my own opinion.

Minecraft is completely a sandbox game; you do what you want. Some people like PvP, others are builders, adventurers, programmers, redstone, or basically whatever you want! Towny clearly wasn't in mind when they made the game, and neither was half the stuff people do with it. So, no, the game wasn't made just for PvP, it was made to have fun playing.

Supercell can ruin a great game.

Now you can replace Supercell with Mojang

 

1.8 players who are bad at this play style are actually bad at PvP themselves... Plus, faster clicking gives thinking strategies. Also, in my opinion 1.9 literally ruined PvP, the shields are decent, however the PvP style isn't as enjoyable as it used to be... 1.8 definitely.

 

I love the PvP system. I don't know what would have been a different good way to improve it. The old system was bland in PvE, but I enjoy the new one better in PvP and PvE. This might just be because people aren't as good at 1.9+ fighting and many don't know how to disable shields.

 

Goddamit Kling, you made me actually go into 1.3 to find out what the PvP was like.

I know this is old, but 1.8. Minecraft isn't made for the PvP or the player fighting. Using 1.10 is way too complicated. Minecraft is about building and breaking stuff, surviving at night. I seriously don't even know why Mojang changed the PvP. It was fine the way it was.
