Chat Toggling

So most of the time I talk in global chat. Every time I want to say something in global I have to put /g before it. I think you should be able to toggle any chat you want on. So if you toggle global on if you say something without doing a command before it, it will go to global, except if you were to put in a command for a different chat before your message. For example, if I toggle global on and I say something with no command at the start it will go to global, but if I put /tr Go sub to my youtube then the message will go in trade chat over ruling the toggle of global chat. You should be able to toggle between local, world, trade, and global chat and any others I missed. If MeepCraft were to add this it would certainly help me and many other people

 

But if you were going to do that you wouldn't have to type "/g " which would give you three more characters. That's like 3% more.

 

That is a good thing isn't it?

After 87 characters of spam will 3 more really make a difference?

 

it isn't hard to type /g, meep generally takes a long time to do things (Not toxic, how it is) and this isn't needed.

I agree with DwarFmorf101, the amount of time it would take for staff to do this would not be worth the .3 seconds it would save you.

 

It was enabled prior to New Meep, I specifically remember making use of it to evade the restriction on using global chat in CTF, which was in effect then (MeepNetworks). It does not take any significant amount of time to input or remove. +1 but I know that I will say something meant for local because I forget it's on.

 

It may take .3 seconds to type /g but say thousands of things in global every week. 1000 messages typing /g wastes about 300 seconds = 5 minutes!

 

The thing is, devs have to spend hours for this 3 minute plugin

That's what they do on all plugins. Or else there would be a bug.

By the way, 5 minutes out if 1 week is less than 0.1% of the total time so that wouldn't be significant.

 

If there's a ton of bugs, then sure, but really three hours for a small feature is unrealistic.

Personally, I'm a +1. Put it on trello as low priority and when someone has some spare time it can be done.
