1.10 or 1.8 PVP?

Because it's absolute garbage as it's 1.10

 

1.10 is ridiculous, in addition to all the "spam clicking takes no skill" BS, it's boring as all hell to kill someone in kit. Berserk2016 and Imperfectly, plus PseudoGod and Wiggle_Waggle, I both watched fight each other using that full diamond with gold sword kit. No one even lost more than a heart in the entire time they were swinging at each other. It's ridiculous, even if it is more skilled (which is false, according to general consensus), it's boring and "timing" your hits is just plain silly. This is minecraft, homies, not some sort of real life simulator where you would have to time your hits (do you? I've never had an actual swordfight). It's supposed to be fun, and right now, for most people it isn't.

 

1.10 kitpvp is whoever runs out of armor fastest and whoever has the better sword wins pvp. Me and ajax has 1v1ed for 20 minutes and I lost because my sword and armor broke while he had a good sword

 

dead that this is even a thing still, classic meep. 1.10 is where mc thought it should go. I think 1.10 is much better. But I suppose all these mlg pro PvP originals love 1.8 and don't like change. So guess it will be classic democracy and be best solution for majority. I think 1.8 wouldn't be a bad thing as some people clearly prefer it. My opinion is 1.10 is better

ya but maybe the new combat would be more fun in kitpvp if the kits were specially designed for the new combat, instead of just using the same kits that WERE fun during the old combat...

 

Tbh its a good idea. In 1.9 pvp, swords do less damage but have faster reload or whatever you call it, but axes do more damage but have slower... (you get what I mean)

 

The timer is the problem with the entire thing. If they just sped it up more, it wouldn't be so bad. The issue with 1.9+ PvP is that it makes combat even more heavily FPS based. The cooldown makes your attack reliant on a single package being sent to the server, where 1.8 allowed you to send as many packets as you wanted, though you could still only hit twice per second. It's like putting all your eggs in one basket. If something happens to that one basket, you're toast. They've nerfed melee so much, you basically need a bow to kill anything.

I agree KitPvP isn't the best example, because the kits were rather unbalanced even in 1.8. However, the timer makes any kind of fast-paced combat impossible.

Basically, all you need to win now is have better wifi, and a gaming mouse that is more likely to pick up individual clicks.

1.8. I myself, as an archer and such am pretty disappointed at the archer stuff, arrows don't fly straight all the time anymore and all my bow skills went like right down the drain, the sword stuff is really stupid and I hate the timing thing.

 

I love 1.10 pvp, it is just better then 1.8, because I think 1.10 pvp show more skills. And 1.8 pvp are mostly taping,

Taping and strafing are skills, another thing is that 1.10 pvp takes like 5 minutes in full diamond armor because all people to is slowly click and run click and run and if people are good enough at 1.8 you can take down people in seconds, its a lot more action packed and adrenaline pumping. Another thing is if its like a 1v3 in 1.10 the 3 players will win everytime but in 1.8 if that one person is good enough he can take them all down.

 

No,1.8is just clicking，but 1.10pvp shows more skill much then 1.8.
