Sales tax

This is exactly what it sounds like. Whenever a Chestshop transaction is made (e.g. 5%) the buyer pays the same amount and the shop owner receives 95% of what the buyer paid. The town it's located in receives the remaining 5%

When somebody is selling, the shop owner pays the full price and the seller receives 95% of the profits. The remaining 5% go to the town the chest shop is located in.

This would close the gap between shops and towns as towns get a benefit off of how successful their shops are.

Sure, if a town chooses to they can have lower shop taxes to balance out... or just 0% Sales tax.

 

NOt sure why this is needed
You can manipulate plot types to do this as you please, as long as you state how and when and what you'll change it to in your town rules
You can already do this to a limited degree, I really don't think that this can be done to the plugin. Even if it could, I don't see why we'd do it.

This discourages people from making chestshops, they will just trade the traditional way with dropping items and giving money. For mall owners, they will make the sales tax 0 anyway to attract customers and there will be no point in doing that. Tbh Gmall is dying out so buttfly needs to lower my taxes

 

It incourages towns to help shops be successful.

And, shops will fail either way if it gets taxed and loses its customers.
