Remove those dumb nation tags.

If ya haven't noticed, whenever you look at a nation (of over x people) it says "The ____ Realms." This is extremely annyoying as it's hard to name ur nation anything cool like "The Russian Federation." It's just a waste of code to have the extra code. Meep would be better without it.

The 'Realm of __' is not the only tag that a nation can have. There are 5 others and they are similar to the town tags (Village, Metropolis, etc.) in which one you have depends on how many total residents there are in your nation. Most nations will have the Realm tag because you need 60+ residents to get it, which isn't very hard for a nation.

I agree with this, I would rather have the techs focus on more important things, however on trello there is a list of improvements that can be made to nations (link), and this could easily be added to that list so that when nations are addressed, everything can be done at once.

My personal thoughts on this suggestion is that we don't remove the nation tags altogether, but simply format them in the same way as towns, eg. TownName (Tag). This way, The Taurus Realm would be changed to Taurus (Realm). I also think that the residents required for each tag should be greatly increased (same with towns). Getting a new tag is something that nations and towns should work towards, not be able to get instantly (I might suggest this later).

I promise you it is a 5 minute fix. Just remove "The and "Realms"

I have looked at some online games with temporarily alterable code (for personal use, I promise it's legal. The creator purposefully did it.) in JavaScript and sucessfully understood parts of it + manipulated it but that's about the extent of my JavaScript experience.

That would be pretty rad but I like The Divinity Realm, has a nice ring to it, I would rather techs work on something else mate. So this could possibly gather dust on trello for 2017.

 

You can always name your nation "The_Divinity_Realms"
