Flyer - Job

In this job you will get paid by using an elytra, or just falling from a height. For every 1 second of flight you get .5 meebles of something like that, just to help payback an elytra because they can be pricy. Thats basically it, just another job we can have to add money into the eco.

i know what some may be thinking. set a home on top of a building then just keep jumping off, but actually emerald trading would be easier than doing that, so maybe not falling off a building, but maybe only using an elytra

 

That’s not it. It isn’t a real job and it doesn’t benefit others. All the other jobs are important for growing in towns, this one is just playing around. It’s useless.

 

It's more of a reward for using elytra. I practice with mine fairly often and this could encourage players to use them more and learn to use them better. I think it's not an awful idea, but the monetary reward should be pretty low. I can essentially wrap around spawn with one jump from /warp elytra (i.e. get all the way to the bank by going around the other side). I'll go ahead and +2 this, elytra are some of my favorite items in Minecraft and I'd absolutely love to have even more incentive to go jumping from /warp elytra.

 

I agree with mitchael but i can already think of ways it could be abused, it wouldn't be the easiest task to sort out the commands, however i still like the idea +1

Ah, I did not see that post. I thought I read through all the comments but I guess I didn't.. It doesn't sound like a job to me still though. It just doesn't make sense that you get paid for flying? (Yes, I know that flying a plane etc you can get paid. ) I know you said it was to pay off a little bit of the price for the elytra, but

 

Sure an elytra can make transportation easier but you can still walk. It isn’t a necessary part of the community, if you still wanted to get a reward for it, then I suggest a elytra parkour like the obstacle course already in the forest but more challenging. Just like regular parkour! I’m still a -1 but you guys have made a fair point.

 

Is there an elytra parkour? I thought I heard someone suggest that here, but I still think that sounds like an amazing idea
