Shop Adjustments

Ok, so I think everyone knows that the current shop is kind of odd, and not really working for everyone

The Problem​

The way the shop is set up now, is that there are no donor shops, and there is no sell anymore - which is causing no money into the economy every day. Also, the items in it are kind of useless and out of place items.

Donor shops​

I know that this has been stated before, but I would like to state it again - the removal of donor shops wasn't the best decision the staff team has ever made. It removes a key part of donating, and without this, theres really nothing to vote for anymore - just add them back

Selling feature​

There's better threads, like the one made by Mattisaperson that explain this a lot better - I think it should just be added back

The items​

Alright, so a lot of the old items were good, and I thought they were prices decently - bring back the old items, but remove a couple of certain items:
Grass
dirt
cobblestone
stone
saplings of sorts
farming items

I forget some of the items, but if the shop is returned to its original state, I can make a new thread
Some new items you should add:
Various end materials:
Vip shop
Endstone - buy: 10 sell: 2
Purpur Blocks - buy: 15 sell: 4
Premium shops:
End Rods: Buy: 20 non sellable
These provide an incentive to go to the end and collect various materials
Elite shop:
Elytra: Buy: 30,000 non sellable
If anyone has any arguments with the items I have put here, or wish to add your own items to the list, just reply with a comment!
Staff doesn't necessarily have to add back every single item that was before, they can add the items they wish, this is just a suggestion of what should be added, if @staff added back ranked shops and such.

 

The old shop just needs to come back tbh

The new changes are better. I just think everyone is mad there main source of easy income is gone.

State one way it is better - the main reason I have against it is that new players can not make an easy source of money, I gave up making money a long time ago, but the new players really should be in the staff's mind as the server is starting to grow again - they can't pass up that chance.

 

From my understanding, this change is supposed to encourage players to sell to the vshop instead. Instead of taking items out, and just pouring in money to the economy, the goal is players will sell to each other instead. Loads of very basic materials are not even up on the vshop, because they were all being sold to the server shop.

 

But that goes against the logic of taking shop out. If people have no way of making money, they will not buy from other players. They will go get it themselves. And, for some, that means tedious work that they'd rather go to another server to avoid

 

I agree completely with junkie on this matter, if there is no way to add money into the economy (besides voting but like, only 10 people vote a day anymore) (and that only adds like 4k) then there is no one spending money on anything - the economy is just going to make the rich richer at this point, as people with large shops will be the only advertised ones, almost forcing people to sell to them

 

You're entirely wrong on this and ill explain why. When new users join the server, they do what we all did. Go and mine a bunch of crap in wild, get a chest and a plot, place the chest and fill it with tons of crap. Now, They will eventually say "How do I make Meebles?"

In response, we say /jobs, quests, Meep-shop, minigames, vote, ect. Theirs PLENTY of money in those things.
1 week of voting is 28,000
quests add up to 30,000
parkour had high rewards depending how good you are
Jobs, average is 30k per day if youre actually working on jobs
Meepshop is crazy good for money if you sell items not listed
the wild chest is valued at almost 10k per time

Im getting pretty tired of you people saying "Not enough ways to make money"

I get its an economy server but that's a lot of dedication considering some rich people with shops make more than that

No, 10k is what you get if you break all of the armor into diamonds and sell all of the diamonds separately. By itself, the supply drop is worth virtually nothing

 

Maybe the addition of Mcmmo would help that. Maybe.

Should Add, Mcmmo is not coming to Meep. Well the base version anyway. We HAVE been discussing the possibility of adding parts, though. Please dont freak out lol.

 

Do it. It's very attractive when you combine it with jobs and it'll likely help with player retention
