Player Retention- Please improve

Player Retention is very important, for multiple reasons:

1) Increases the effectiveness of our (currently) limited advertising
2) Increases overall player count, which increases votes and donations, which gets us more noticed
3) More players make for a healthier eco

I suggest that:

1) Increase the meebles given at start to $7,500, but only AFTER you complete /warp tutorial. New players should be reminded every 15 minutes that they should do the tutorial to claim their meebles. Add a Quiz at the end of tutorial, so that they know about the commands before they claim the meebles. Also, update the tutorial to include the new commands such as /astools.
2) Put Tutorial within new spawn's build itself rather than make it a seperate world, so that it doesn't look as dead as it does currently.
3) Make all players show up when you TAB, but differentiate players in different worlds. This gives new players the feeling that the server is alive and thriving.
4) Each world should have its own spawn and tutorial to teach players how to play in that specific world.

If not able to make a systematic change, why not add in incentives to helping new players? This can be done now, without any tech required. If more people help newcomers, they'll be more likely to stay and eventually donate.

 

This is currently impossible, anyways. Tutorial's portals are broken, so nobody can complete it anyways. Besides that, you may view the suggestion thread for Tutorial updates here.

This is already planned. @Lady_Hestia (the one who is actually working in this) has said it will be built into the new spawn.

+1 to this, the "spawn" around the Towny world's could use an update.

This is already being done. Myself, along with several others try to warp to Tutorial every time a new person joins. If I get them into Towny, I usually give them about 5-10k to get started.

 

Broken broken broken. Hey, that's a fantastic idea. Fix all the crap that's broken before adding new stuff.

 

Things really need fixed. I was away for a week and when I came back I noticed an overall drop in player count. I logged on around 4am est last night and there were only 6 players on. That's very bad, soon we might see 0 players on. I know it was 4am, but shouldn't players in other parts of the world like Austrailia be playing at that time?
