This is not true, people either say that mining is the best, or that the job miner is the best, I don't know what time zone you're in but this is a bedrock (see what I did there) thing.

I am mainly on during the American day time, and I rarely see people suggest mining.

Which is why I said American "daytime," referring to all day for most of these timezones. I will say there is always one person who says mining, but there are so many other suggestions thrown out there, it isn't that big of a problem. Rarely do I talk to noobies who go mining in Wild. Most of them either build or play at casinos, or something else.

If the reasoning for this being denied is becuase the wild is supposed to be a safe place to gather resources then why have pvp enabled in that world at all? Resources should not be a SUPER easy thig to gather and should have a slight risk when gathering them otherwise making them less valuable.

I'm at a +1 currently. Sure This would make the wild world more dangerous and bring a greater PVP aspect to our "towny" Server. The pvp minigames we currently have are cool, but a towny server should have its own risk in the wilderness. In my opinion there shouldnt be a designated PVP area for people to go and fight if they want. The PVP area should be the wilderness. Some players will be mining for money and some players would be hunting other players down for loot.

You could make it more fair in a way that it only tells you where a player is a certain amount of blocks away or something like that.
This would also bring the possibility of a new job to meep. Maybe, a bountyhunter job? If PVP was made more accessible with wilderness we could do so many things with it.

People could buy custom items maybe like "stealth potions" that keep them invisible to the compass for a certain amount of time, or as a one time use thing. Maybe they could set a reward (already being suggested) on another player? The job would provide more money making methods and I think it would also raise the price of materials since it is making them harder to obtain in a hostile environment.

Maybe we could limit the usage of the compasses aswell, maybe put a recharge timer on it. Or a pay meebles to use feature.

This suggestion has potential in my opinion.

I completely support this arguement. I am not against this idea because I think Wild should be a safe place for everyone. I am against the current form it is in because I do not wish to drive new players away from the sheer killing.
I don't think a charge of Meebles to use the compass is a good idea, as this would hurt the profits of a dangerous profession anyways.

Thus, I have thought of a way around my concern. I have not thought it out entirely, so feel free to criticize any part of it. What if there was a section of Wild that had only the base resources (coal, wood, and iron), but no diamonds, emerald, lapis, redstone, or anything like that? This area could be a kind of "zoned-off" area of Wild, and the compass would not point to players within this "safe zone." This would allow noobies to get their base resources, then descend into the more dangerous area to obtain better resources. Thoughts?

There shouldnt be a specific zone though. PVP zones are boring. :bored: Terrarium is boring, kitpvp is only fun because of the kits :shifty: we need a vast pvp area

Let me explain, the no-PvP area would only have the bare essentials. You shouldn't even be able to find redstone unless you go into the PvP area. The vast majority of it would be normal Wild, with the compass implemented.

Thats lame, new players will be able to get there "bare essentials" without being killed, the only times they will likely be found and killed is on prolonged trips, generally these trips will be underground and such, and if caving could be incredibly hard for the hunters, you would have to pinpoint where they were, all the while they will likely be moving around to various pockets of ore, then you have to start digging down, and in that time they will probably move, and then if somehow they aren't far away, and they haven't heard you digging down, you can kill them.
