Eww that would be too much probably, Also, If someone really wanted to show a kid sexual content they could, you can mail them porn links, tell them to google things, while the item frames would add another outlet, not having it won't stop the people who wanna show children porn.

Yes, it would, but its not like well respected members of the community will suddenly use it for porn, the people who want to show porn will do it with the plugin or without it.

 

Would you not agree that at the current rate it is a lot harder to show someone porn that is as detailed as we are talking about here? If someone wants to get banned with this plugin, all they have to do is get a picture link and click the itemframe. Well at that point i think we are talking a lot more about the people that has rages. And i know that people rage all the time on this server, ''oh i am going to quit now, i need to do something baneball to create drama!''. That is why i think this is a bad idea, and also the simple fact that this will not be a PG server anymore.......

So the 12 year olds who want to be banned for lulz, probably won't google "porn" just to be banned on a dumb server, granted i'm sure its possible, and its also probable, but that doesn't mean restrict everyone elses fun just because 3 twelve year olds have to terrify other 12 year olds.

It could give incentive to donate, and players who have donated feel more invested with either their money or time. But I really just don't think that some jerk will do this.

You confused me there, you started the sentence with that the 12 year old will not do that and ended it with that they will? And yes i think restricting people is part of how you have to run the server.

@zsuzsu1 you're missing my point. I was trying to say that, If you want to show another meeper porn, you can without the images. You won't see some drastic upturn in people sending each other porn either, you simply wont be having players who actually spend time on the server and enjoy it putting porn up, the only ones using the thing to share porn will be the people who get on the server with that idea in there head, and we can't stop them without putting deadlock on all social interaction, and meepcraft is, above all things, a multi player game. I agree, it would be horrible if someone showed any other player regardless of age pornographic content on a minecraft server, but its not like you will have normal players like you and me doing it.

Then don't become staff? you should understand that there are screwed up people and the internet lets them do basically whatever without fear of consequence. I'm not saying that theres anything wrong with how you feel...

 

Some tools like this should not be given to players. There is no doubt that they will use it inappropriately.

 

Though there are flaws, there are flaws in many things on meep, like as tools

Is there though? I used to be a staff on a crappy mc server. (we had like, 30 people on at peak time) Now the server was trash, but they did have something where you could get images onto banners from the internet, and it got used for graphic content like, twice in the 8 months the server was up.

A normal player, won't do this. You would have to log onto meep with the intent to do this, and we can't stop these people. If you want to get other players to see porn on meep, there is a number of things you can do, you can mail them a link, make a astools, just make a building that involves graphic content, etc etc etc. You can't stop the people who want to show inappropriate stuff on meep. Not giving them one more way to do it wont stop it, so theres no real point to not having it.

TLR People are overestimating how much it will be used for sexual purposes.

 

This statement is wrong, just in my 1 month as a helper i caught more people building sexual builds then people stealing from other people. And also comparing meep with a 30 player server is like comparing a local burger place with Mc Donalds. They are 2 totally different things.

First of what is a normal player? Someone that plays the game? someone that follows the rules? And you are correct if someone logs on to meep with the intention to get banned they will most likely get banned. But does that mean that we should make it easier for those people to break the rules that or staff enforces. It is a total waste of manpower over something that barely any of us will use. Also one thing you and me totally disagree about is how totally different a picture in game is to a build or a link. With a link, you have the option to click that link wile with a build it will not be even close to the graphic in a picture. And sexual msges is nothing compared to a picture.

The simple fact remains, this will waste a lot of staffs time. And we are making it easier for people to post sexual things so people can see it. To me there is no logic that dictates that this should be implemented and that is why i look at it as a mistake.
