a much to be hated suggestion

how about adding advertisements on the website (for gaming and such, no other servers) to create more eula-compliant revenue for the server? I feel like this would help the server, as the forum pages often get more views than players on the server (rip grammar sorry). Imagine if we got 1 cent per page viewed. after 10,000 views the servers would make $100 (and keep in mind, every time you click on a link the server would make 1 cent).

the problem with that is, there is the possibility of redirecting players to malicious/inappropriate websites like viruses and yucky things...

If i spend 6 hours (yes i have no life) a day on meep, and i decide to spend 3 hours of that clicking the link, I can click the link 1 every 4 seconds, and if my math is correct (i'm super tired) i could make meep 27 dollars a day.

whenever i monetize one of my youtube videos with ads(which i've done like two times) it has like an agreement thing that says not to click your own advertisements to make money ?

FN had the same thing set up and someone clicked it for an entire day. Owner got an email saying remove the ads...

so Im not sure this is a great idea.

Also, for every add we have on here, it's another add somewhere else which will hopefully bring on +1 players per day (at least) so it's probable worth it.

 

I don't know how much it will help, but I don't care if it's done.

 

This is denied - advertisements do not make websites much money in the first place and it wouldn't look very attractive to new players.
