If you don't vote for 8k when it takes 2 minutes then you have way too many meebles, or you're lazy and deserve to be poor

I like this idea, but I still think 1-2 sites should give you meebles every day. Besides that I am a +1!

What if you could simply exchange 1 vote for 2k meebles. You wouldn't be increasing the amount of money given but also allowing for those who don't need/want more meebles to purchase their special items

To all the comments saying 8k is worth voting you are wrong IMO because meebles have little value due to everything being super cheap due to socialist item price caps on most items and very limited exclusive items to purchase.

You can literally buy a fly note at /warp spawn for 50k and sell it for 60k at /pwarp deadman. Summrs is right, 8k isn't that much for voting.

So, because its not worth voting for YOU then its not worth it for every single player?

8k pays for a fairly large town a day on top of the vote bonuses which could contribute to players towns, not everyone wants some exclusive item

dunno how you can think 56k a week (248k a month) (plus bonuses) for doing something that takes a couple of minutes is nothing

In essence, this suggestion is an attempt to force more people into voting?

No, its an attempt to make voting more appealing. it would also open up a new economy for the rare items.

You don't need a special currency for rare items, nor do you need one to make it more appealing. Just make it more appealing and give out rare items.

What would be the legality regarding selling this currency for meebles?

Yes in a sense. It is also to introduce new items that do not have a price controlled by staff and benefit players that vote and they can make even more money than before by voting for the unique items and selling them for high since they are the current loyal voters of the server. This will allow voters to make more money from rich players who have the money and are willing to buy the items which causes "flow" in the eco, instead of putting 8k into the eco per person per day.

I would get data on why people are not voting, instead of finding ways to force them to vote. When I did my surveys and had hundreds of replies, we gained valuable data, and players saw some change they wanted to see.

This is MeepCraft's issue, they consistently try to force behavior, rather than motivating people to do things.

Want more votes? Get more players.

Want more players? Ditch this stupid mini-game crap and all the lost and wasted investments made towards that nothingness and go back to the proven success MeepCraft had before.

    -1

People are not voting for a reason. The solution is to find the reason and solve the issue. The solution is not to force players into behavior one wants, because they will not react that way.

A good portion will not vote simply because of the apparent attempt to force them to do so, and another good portion will simply just buy this currency with meebles.

How long has it been since the free rank was given out for voting?

    for the adults:

-1 lets just move the decimal place on the voting rewards, if people actually thought they would get a fly note, they would vote more.

I think using voting as a separate currency would be good - the only way to obtain certain items (like the grappling hook, for example), would be via voting. Old ranked-only items that can't be ranked-only items because of the EULA would be good to use for rewards with this voting currency. I know I would vote for a chance to win that/build up to winning that.

I think this idea would be really good and to keep it so everyone is happy I think if people could chose the 2k from a vote currency then everyone would be happy

Could players buy this currency from other players with Meebles?

I was thinking via mini game rewards if we do implement something like that. I think it should be cut off from Meebles because that would kind 0f defeat the idea yaknow? In theory almost everyone would be voting because they have a good reason to, which is really good for the server. Being able to buy the tokens with Meebles would take away from that, because you wouldn't have to vote.

I see a few issues with this:

    1) You're forcing your towny players to play mini-games, this is bad because it's removing people from the game-mode they join, and donate for - Towny. You should be moving mini-game players to towny.

    2) You're forcing your customers (some high paying) to do an activity for the benefit of the server. My gas station doesn't force me to leave a yelp review to get gas. How is forcing your customers good for business? When I played I rarely voted because I didn't want to take the time. Isn't spending hundreds of dollars enough?

--- The better option is to focus voting to towny, as I'm sure people who vote for town upkeep would appreciate it. Figure out with data why people are not voting now, and fix that problem, not invent some hassle-filled fluff to make it look cooler.

Most importantly: Don't force your customers to do work to get special items.
