    When you generously pour syrup on your breakfast, pancakes are like "ew, what's that?" and just let the syrup pour on the sides, or just suck it all up and become a soggy piece of batter. Waffles are just kind little things that decide to carry the syrup when you have already too much on your hands. In general, I prefer food that's more crunchy rather then soft so waffles are a win-win. But they're basically all the same thing, so I wouldn't really care about choosing one over the other.
