I think the Republic of Coruscant would win, because they could bomb us all with the Jedi Cruisers. They(Jedi) would do it, if we fought back, then the world we be torn apart by war.

I think our Republic (earth) would win. Why? Well because, we are capable of organized chaos, whereas Coruscant is mostly city dwellers and the few great Jedi, which aren't going to be able to lead a massive group of people (well, at least it's never happened before; Jedis have always been like spies on individual missions or guiding a small to medium size group of jedis and troopers. However to win the war you're gonna need world teamwork and honestly I don't think Coruscant is ready for that. I mean, if they were then I doubt chancellor palpatin would ever be where he is now (emperor).) Now don't get me wrong ; Yoda could totally take his wookie world and throw them at us but wookies are going to be easy to take down by human force, especially with our special ops forces, and are wookies even going to want to fight? that's a whole different story my dude. So all in all - the people who are willing o fight on earth byfar outnumber those on Coruscant. And yes they can overthrow the Jedi temple. Most of them aren't even trained properly!

this may be the most nerdy thing I've ever written but I don't care I love star wars

I have to disagree with you, June.
By simple estimation, there are several thousand Jedi, each having the potential to destroy virtually anything. Last I checked, bullets just burn when they come in contact with a lightsaber.

Coruscant is a very divided planet, similar to our own. If given a united purpose, both sides would rally, therefore neutralizing the morale difference.

Wookies (while some live on Coruscant) are not involved in this, nor do they serve Yoda. The chief of a particular village (Chief Tarfful) has a mutual respect for Yoda, not the entire planet.

Actually, Jedi (of the Republic Era) underwent close to twenty years of training. The years of study only lead to knighthood. Most Jedi would have been beyond this skill level.

Also, one must know which period of Coruscant would be used. One period houses the massive power of the Jedi Order, another would have been the full force of the Galactic Empire.

Sith would utterly destroy all of us, to be honest. They'd just use Emperor's Hammer and wipe everyone out.

would they? its debatable weather or not there armor could withstand bullets, and there lasers don't go nearly as fast, (someone did calculations, they go about as fast as a major league baseball). the jedi would be no match for machine guns, sorry. they can't move there lightsabers to blocks something as small and fast as a bullet, the jedi would get destroyed by snipers, machine guns, etc.

    Now that this is clarified,
I still believe Coruscant would win. The Clone Wars Coruscant is a fortified bastion.
There's one problem with this assumption. Even if bullets could easily kill Jedi, they'd need to hit them first. Generally, Jedi move stealthily, and some did wear armor (such as Obi-Wan Kenobi) during the Clone Wars, therefore making them bullet proof. In the case of snipers, they would simply use the Force to throw their aim off, same for machine guns. Tanks? All they'd do is lift them and drop them upside down.

Also, how would anything on earth be able to stop an orbital bombardment? The only things we have that can get that high don't have weapons.

On your point about snipers, how would they know they were there? and if they could always simply just "throw off there aim with the force" then how come they can't do this in the animated tv series and at the end of episode 3 "revenge of the sith" as many jedi die because of shots. (hell, one even gets stabbed by a pissed off tortilla chip)

I think someone is overlooking a significant detail: we're in separate galaxies, and there isn't intergalactic travel in Star Wars.

We would lose. Another important detail: We're barely capable of exiting our solar system, and it took, like, 15 years. We could probably hit them with a few nuclear warheads, maybe.

its plasma stupid. *puts on nerd glasses* Lasers is the common slang term for the clone trooper/droid army weapons, but any well versed star wars fan knows that they aren't talking about lasers.

The jedi almost didn't join the friggin clone wars, what makes you think they would join the subjagation of a lonely planet.

The Jedi are too passive. On the other hand, humans are warmongers.
