Today lots of us were discussing whether certain colors were boy or girl colors in global and I disagree. Most colors are sterotyped and people get made fun of whenever they wear that certain color. Pink for example. I wear pink all the time, yet somehow I cant wear that because its a "girl" color. Same thing with Red. For some reason if a girl wears red at my school they're considered a "Tomboy". That isn't fair.

There have been many times where I've gone to a bakery and people have asked for "Boy" colors, as @iMelXP said, this is not very smart, because many people have different interpretations on whichever color suits which gender. I think all colors are gender neutral, despite what people think. You should be able to wear what you want without being insulted.

    What do you guys think?

There was a study, (can't find it) that said that in general most girls inherit a gene that makes them like warm colors like orange, pink, and yellow and boys like cool colors like blue, purple, and black. Ofc a boy can wear light colors and vice versa and they shouldn't be made fun off, but statistically more girls will like lighter colors and more boys will like cool colors, so when asking for a "boy" color you should expect blues and stuff.

Pinks a classic girls colour and blues a classic boys colour, it has been that way for many years and will always be that way.

They are good colours to define the sex of babies and typically younger girls like pink and younger boys like blue because that's the way they have grew up like.

The pink and blue were not promoted until just after WW2 for which they represent today and probably all started from a marketing plot.

Honestly, no. I have some girl friends that like "boy" colors, like I do. I basically love almost every color in existence because I love to draw. Usually, the main color to define genders was blue and pink, which represented boys and girls.

I wear black almost every day, unless I get lucky and I'm able to find some blue jeans and a colorful shirt. I've never heard of any girl considered to be a Tomboy for wearing boy colored clothing. That sounds a bit stereotypical.

Of course there is, look at all the products being sold that are marketed in such a way. Until that stops, pink is a traditional girl color, and blue is a traditional boy color.

To that point, anyone should wear what they want to wear, if anyone has an issue with it, you look them in the eye and tell them to go f themselves.

I believe there are colors that definitely make us think male or female simply because our culture has pushed it onto us. And honestly, I think it probably does more harm than good. Now of course, I don't shame people for wearing certain colors; but I don't wear pink or yellow, simply because I think of those as girl colors.

No. Pink used to be a male color and blue used to be a female color. There's many evidence of this in 1800's catalogs for how women "should dress". Blue was thought to be a softer color and pink was supposed to be a rougher color. Now the opposite is true. The only reason a color would be for a certain gender is because of social structure.

I own a purple shirt and wear it sometimes. I don't really wear a lot of pink, but I wouldn't mind wearing it. Most of my clothes are typical colors that men wear, but I really don't care about the color. As long as it's not orange, I'll wear it.

    Here's an idea:
Stop debating over whether or not colors are gender neutral and wear whatever color clothes you damn want.

Couldn't have been said better, wear what you want, no one cares whether your shirt is pink or blue.

    Again
Why can't we let people do whatever they want and we can just not give a damn
There was a time when guys wore dresses
There was a time when it was a bad thing for a girl to wear anything but a skirt/dress in public.
Times change, people change, and either way no one doesn't have to care

Pink used to be a boys color as it was considered a shade of red. Honestly wear I live the only people who care about whether a color is appropriate for them are under 3rd grade. After that everyone wears every color. Honestly I feel like the labels on colors are going to change and soon.
