Forum Backgrounds

Alright, my brain has an idea.
On some websites or applications there is a setting to change the background to different colors and stuff.
So I'm thinking yeah I want my Meepcraft to have a Pokemon themed forums.
Like most of my suggestions they are simply asthetic, but if it is possible to have different wallpapers that would be awesome, and people would totally use them!
An idea at hand that doesn't need to be implemented could be giving the sets of wallpapers as asthetic perks for donators. However, forums doesn't track what rank you are so keep this thought at the very back of the corner.
I have some ideas, but they don't have to be anything in particular:
-Pokemon (as stated above)
-Dark (to contrast with the white)
-Classic (you know something maroon or whatever for old people like @Cooleysworld)
-A staff background with green! Arguably this would be a perk to getting staff but I don't think a wallpaper would encourage players to do it just for that.
-Flowers!
-Explosions!
Honestly, the possibilities are endless!
It's not an important idea, but it would be lots of fun!

 

why not. this COULD even be a perk for ranked players, if we set up a system so that when you get a rank it's given to you on the forums as well.

Tbh it'd be cool to have some kind of feature where you could download premade themes made by other meepers, have a bit of design team (pick me pls), have a bit of options and it'd be cool to add things based off of the community's suggestions/requests.

It wouldn't look good unless I made it into an actual digital piece... Which I could do I suppose but meh.

 

This give me an idea. We've held out on donor perks on forums for the longest time but the eula doesn't affect us here so maybe we can add some stuff here. It's gotta be easier than in game right @techs ?

 

We don't have to do Pokemon theme lol, just an idea.

 

Would it be possible for us to choose our own pictures? I mean, upload them from our pc? If we make it a choice someone somewhere will inevitably be unhappy with the choices available.

 

Please no, especially not Pokemon or flowers.
I like the way it is atm, it's simple but nice.

For this, I am going with a +1

My reasoning being that it gives us a little more customization. It does not affect everyone, of course.

The change would only be client side. If you like the current background, you could just keep it that way.

I would imagine this option would be a little more difficult, but still possible.

 

+1, allows a creative outlet for all of the Meepers who are good at creating stuff like this and who knows, there might be a market for backgrounds that players make!

 

This idea is absolutely lit, there are no downsides. Make sure there is no copyright infringement or anything of that sort, and we're all set +1

I don't necessarily think this is important we come on forums to chat and help people who need it, I don't really focus on the background.

Also, I think the only way to add donator ranks on forums is for someone to individually select a forum account and change the rank which would be a long process.

 

I mean, there's a card on trello that says to link forum accounts to an IGN. Maybe it can somehow be linked thataway.

Not sure if she meant this but what I got from it is generally change whole forums background to default colors and etc. but I was on some forum and they had it where you could set a picture that you wanted for your background so when people visited you profile page it was your background that you set, and for you it was your background on every page but other people's profiles, where it was the background they set. Only read opening post.

Not a priority really, just saying what would be cool.

Like all the Tumblr blogs with their polka dotted backgrounds and then you go to another one that's different. May be harder to do but exciting!
