Chance for Media

Im so happy i just need a couple things so i may apply for media. If i retrieve the media rank a dream will come true. Ill be happy, take each step with happiness and less sadness. i love this server, ive been inactive recently but no more shall I. Ive been playing this server for 3 years. Thats almost a quarter of my life (Im turning 13).
This also means at minimum 1/4 of my life was having fun. Im so happy but if i were to get media i would never be as happy as before... at least double as happy!

In the original copys i wasnt asking for likes i was just saying that i needed like to apply, i didnt want anyone to feel obligated to like by what i said im sorry.

 

Don't ask for likes. It won't get you anywhere.

In my opinion, Media doesn't require maturity since it doesn't involve being a role model like helpers, but it should take determination. You have to be willing to devote several hours at a time to make videos for the server. I applied, but got denied because my content wasn't 100% meep-related, so it seems as though staff do look for meep-related content only. Work hard and Reach high!

 

Media is a staff position.
Staff represent the server.
All staff should be able to represent the server in a good way, regardless of specific position.

 

media works for the server directly, not with players. they take tasks from the staff, not the players. immaturity isn't a bad thing, so get over it. immature people like having fun, like mature people. no-one in this world dislikes immaturity accept for the people on this server. And a person who calls another person immature is just condescending. Let's not forget, this is a MINECRAFT SERVER! <---------
Most of the staff I have met on this server can be pretty immature at times, but they're just overall good people. being a good person has nothing to do with maturity (sources vary). If you're a good person with good intentions and a sensitive heart, +1.

I would like to add that if you want to chat about becoming a staff member/being interested in media is no problem, I suggest you know what you're getting into, and take the time, dedication and hard work into your videos. Show us what you can do, I believe everyone has potential, you just need to put it in the right place. In conclusion, talk to a Media or one of us staff members. Being an immature person and being immature are different things. I can be immature at times, but I still follow basic rules for professionalism. Regardless of this being a "MINECRAFT SERVER!", it is still a business and immaturity is unpleasant when dealing with a proper setting like this. You may think some of the staff members are immature at times, but that's because it doesn't necessarily require them to be so. As far as media goes, they (like Muunkee said) represent the server. Even if they make great videos, if they're toxic or immature they could say something outlandish that misrepresents the server.

 

well there is something called dreams... for dreams you do what ever it takes to do, and since this is my dream i would devote all that i can into it.

You were not denied for having stuff not meep-related, you were denied because your editing was borderline crap.

True, but they still are a staff member and they are representing the server. I wouldn't want to go to a business, whether it be something more official or this MC server if a staff member was constantly popping stupid jokes, inappropriate refs, and rude, sarcastic comments.

Immaturity can be annoying for a lot of people, and there's a difference between being a constantly immature person like you do, and being immature when it is okay but being professional when it is necessary.
A more mature person doesn't need the jokes, refs, or rude comments.

Business is a business is a business. If I see something that makes me want to kill somebody I'm gonna quit for an hour or so until it's over and the person is gone, there's no reason for it.
Yeah, kids will be kids but there's no reason for stuff like some of the things that happen to actually happen.

 

maturity for the media team is just as important as the other staff members, if not more. we are meant to represent the server just as all of the other staff members are(it's kind of like an advertising team if you think about it. if the advertising team is immature and you saw them on youtube you would probably go and think that the business(server) wasn't professional or something)


EDIT: drunkpotato i think that with a bit of practice and effort anyone could do anything so don't give up
