Time on server for perks

Obviously with Eula perks like /fix, /fly, /nv and more are no longer avaliable.
To make these perks available for everyone would be op and completely change the economy but I have come up with a couple ideas for how they could be earned.
1. Time since joining the server -
If according to /seen (not before) you have been playing for 2 years you get access to /nv, 3 years /feed, 4 years /fix, 5 years /fly
- pros
rewards long time players
hard to earn, not many people will get perks (special)
good for long time existing players
-cons
extremely disadvantages players who may be really active however joined the server recently
Player can go of the server for 3 years and come back with these perks (could implement way to make it active time on server)
2. Time Played
Implement a command that tracks time played! Played on the server this would not include time afk or in an afk pool.
reward for hours on server, e.g 50 hours = /nv, 100 hours = /feed, 150 hours = you get the point.

example of a similar plugin that can detect if people are in an afk machine, obviously the counter will stop, the person will not get kicked or anything.
- pros
Benefits active players even if new to the server
Gets perks to people within a shorter time but perks still be limited
- cons
Can be exploited with macros (needs staff monitoring)
Could be difficult to make a exploitish free plugin

New part of the idea, if a person is supreme and say they have been on meep for 5 years or hit 1000 hours or something crazy they get upgraded to the very special Legend
Ok so as you can see both of the two ideas aren't set in concrete so I am relying heavily on your guys' input
If you have any more pros or cons please let me know I will add them
If you have a completely better way of doing things let the staff know because I am bad with ideas.

 

I really really love this idea in my opinion time played would be the better one because players then have a reason to stay on meep more and more instead of logging in logging out then waiting for a year. +1

I'm not sure if this would break EULA but maybe meep could sell hours?

 

How would it tell if you were in an afk pool?
and tbh Id just sit on meep moving my mouse every few min for a few weeks lmao

 

I'm pretty sure that it is possible to make a plugin that can detect if you are using an afk machine, however it would be possible to make a script that makes random movements and that would be pretty hard to detect.

i play 12hrs straight on weekends

 

I know of other servers who have done it

umm the point is kinda for the future not so people get it now

That would be very beneficial for you if this was added and these numbers are clearly not final and will need changing

This is a plugin I found that detects afk machines, this would obviously need to be modified and would be a bit of work,
and Jadey I am sure you would so the time might need to be quite extensive

 

Nawh its ok I barely even go on now since they ruined it

 

The reasoning behind this is fabulous, "reward longtime/active players."
I have to -1 though.

Think, if you are a new player, you come to the server, play a little, and then learn about perks. Then they do some research, "Wait, I'm supposed to play for five years to get that?!?! No way! Next server!"

• Idea #2

Although this is better, you could easily trick this by using redstone devices instead of AFK pools. Simply put, it'd be too easy to exploit.

 

This isn't pay to win, but it's not fair either. -1

I think that implementing it in a way that was balanced could be difficult but if done properly would be well worth it.

 

Denied. This is not exactly possible, but we don't feel it should be implemented.
